Took the L7 and washed it in the automated wash for the first time. I was nervous about my sunroof leaking, but as it turns out I should have been nervous about my antenna, because the f*cking thing bent it and it snapped off when I tried to fix it. Here's a picture I took after washing it, didn't even notice the bent antenna until I backed into my driveway when I got home.

Still, better than if my sunroof had leaked.

@Pat: How are you going to fix the clearcoat patches you mentioned? Do you have to sand the layer down and re-apply clearcoat or is it more involved?

Picked up some MS109 the other day to get started on a race gas tune. I'll be attending a roll-on racing event next month at ATCO raceway in NJ and I'll definitely need something a little hotter than pump gas to be able to hang with the competition.

Not exactly mine, it's my dad's. I'll be driving it in a couple of years. It's a 2008 Ford Explorer XLT. He's thinking about changing the rims. Not to anything flashy though.

I like the rims that are on the Explorer. Then again, I'm a fan of stock wheels on vehicles. To me, custom wheels usually make cars look cheap.

And are you planning on taking the wing off the Mazda? Doesn't really fit with the design of the car.

Sanding it down and re-applying it should work, although I've been looking at a few alternatives that might be even easier. That's taking a back seat to some other repairs, though, and not just the things I mentioned in the video like the stereo wiring and the instrument cluster. I'll probably swap the steering wheel for the one in the trunk when I do the instrument cluster, too; I'll cut BMW some slack, my steering wheel was their first attempt at designing a steering wheel with an airbag, but it is just so damn ugly.

Ehh as much as I love the stock wingless roof, its screwed onto the booth. Removing it would require to cover the holes and respraying it. I'm really not sure what to do with it. In reality it looks passable in real life

you can get little rubber plugs to put in the holes when you remove it ,until you get it filled and painted .your car is black so they shouldn't stand out to much .

Just trade someone trunks. Should be a common enough color.

I would do that, only the car is super rare and the few that are running about are red/silver/blue. Black was apparently not available for this country. The car I got was imported through JDM grey market for the sole purpose that it was an RS and black. Ill probably respray it in the future but its not that big an issue right now.

Nice! colgate.gif icon14.gif The first gen 900 Turbo is an all time favorite for me, which raises questions from my friends, haha. The Miata should be a blast to drive; those wheels look Porsche-esque...

Is the body lift still on it? It's looking almost too tall now. Otherwise, it looks like your conversion is more or less complete and just waiting on paint?

Yeah the body lift is still in. It's too tall at the moment but without the body lift the front tires would still rub and I can't bring myself to take it out unless I've already got a smaller one to replace it with. If nothing else I could always cut the blocks in half, buy new hardware, and either buy bumper brackets separately or have some made.

Really haven't gotten much done on the molding with the lift and all, but it'll all be done in until I have the money for a quality paint job.
I didn't like them before but the chrome interior door handles are starting to grow on me, thinking about picking up a set. And I'm starting to get frustrated with my exterior door handles, which may lead to a PTM Kodiak/Top Kick door handle swap.

Might want to keep the 3" saved away for a rainy day. If you ever do Cummins swap it, you'll probably need it.

Why i have so many cars: there is no logical reason for that to be honest lol tounge.gif no, i just love cars

Where do i keep them all:

the Volvo V50, Volvo 744GLE and the Audi 100 are all parked in my meighburhood (note that the Audi and the Volvo V50 are parked on the same street, barly 50 meters apart)

The BMW 750, Mercedes 500SEL and the SAAB 900 are all in a my garage located in Stockholm(Sweden) i can fit 8 cars in that garage, or 13 if i sqeez them in tight

How do you insure them:

Well, insurence isn't that expensive if you have them in secure area like i do. smile.gif

In a Garage, equipped with a Firextingusher, no Windows to break into, tough locks. This total make the insurence go down like 30% of the original price. biggrin.gif
