I think the Astra is pretty nice. I learnt to drive in that or a Corsa (older models). In fact I just had a driving lesson today. I already have my full UK license but I was craving some shifting action and it was faster and cheaper to call an instructor I know than to rent a car for no reason. Fun times.

I dare you to buy a manual car that isn't black and an executive saloon! tounge.gif

Edit: Photo of the 1275GT at Himley Hall Mini show to keep this on topic. Me and my Dad bought a welder today so work will be starting soon

It's definitely unique looking at the moment, it won't pass another MOT like this though so it's about time it was taken off the road and restored.

Here is the vehicle I'm getting for myself (Probably going to pick it up this weekend or next. Whenever my dad gets me the money)

Chevy Blazer ZR2 inlove.gif inlove.gif inlove.gif Can't wait. Already have a deck for it and everything. I would Have preferred a Tahoe though.

Here is the truck I really wanted but I settled for the Blazer.

Who's actually paying for it? You or your dad? Because if your dad is buying it for you, and you feel you had to "settle" for the Blazer, that's very ungrateful on your part.

Well actually the plan has changed. I'm going to be given a ride to work for about a month so I can save up a few thousand dollars and me and my dad are going to go roughly 50/50 into getting a decent Tahoe. So I will have to wait a month working 10 hour days but it will be worth it in the end.

When i said "settle" I meant that I really wanted a Tahoe but I was willing to take the Blazer because he was buying it for me and I can't complain since I'm getting it for free.

But now with the new plan i can get my Tahoe so I'm completely happy now inlove.gif Even though the ZR2 is awesome I just like the Tahoe alot more.

Winter = better prices.. but i have been looking at a few, but im looking ofr a red 360 manual with black interior, which is a pain to find smile.gif
I was also looking at a few Maserati Grand Sports and 3500GT's, and also a Aston Martin DB7.. and even an old black Lamborghini Esaada from 1972.. that was lovely to drive smile.gif and a few other cars as well

Oh and i checked a Corvette C5 Z06, loved that!

But the thing is that, if i baught any of those, i would just hate ththat nagging feeling, thinking i could have had a Ferrari...

But as i said in the begining of this post, i will wait for the winter come since the prices have gone a bit higher since february..

So its still coming!

Chris CJ: 1.65 EUR for a litre of diesel. Ouch, and I thought Ireland at 1.46 per litre was expensive.

I'm in Poland at the moment, and I'm using this: (not the actual car in the pic, although it is identical)

0.8L I3 and 41hp. 0-100 kph in 15.5 seconds. Pure rocket.\

While not fast, it serves me well. It has 4 wheels, an engine and a roof. Beats taking the bus.
It's very economical however. I'm getting an average of 5.8l/100km (40 MPG US / 48 MPG imp.)

That's not even the top spec!

The top of the top has:

- Front Electric Windows
- Third Brake Light
- Air Conditioning (VERY RARE)
- Spoiler
- 3-speed Automatic Transmission
- Casette Player (compared to the FM Radio you got standard)
- Cigarette Lighter

You've got 2 features that my 1999 Jeep Cherokee doesn't. Door pockets and fog lights. I think your rear leg room has me beat, too. Is the odometer in miles or kilometers?

Haha nice review. I've always liked the Tico funnily enough: it looks interesting, driving is another issue of course.

From what you've shown, the interior looks brand new!

It's been in the family from the start and funnily enough, the engineers at Daewoo did make the interior last quite long.
I was surprised myself since I thought it was gonna be much worse.
My friend's dad's 2003 Opel Astra is in worse condition, and it's only got 40k kms more than this.

Driving part: Well, it feels a lot like a gokart. Fun enough to drive. The 3 cylinder 0.8l engine feels quite nippy, and there isn't much body roll. Driving at 120kph however is something I don't recommend since the car feels very unstable at that speed.
I drive it at around 100kph (60mph) and it's enough for me.

Garfield, nice Tico. My relatives have one as well. What a ridiculous car really, the doors are just so thin. I really thought after driving on the gravel the car would just disintegrate. But it was fun still. Really cant compare it to modern cars, because the Tico is basically a box on wheels with a puny engine. Somewhy i havent seen many on roads, quite rare in my country.
