That is a fantastic looking car. My two favourite VWs is the last gen Phaeton and the Passat CC. Looks really good, did you do something to the grill?

Thanks man. I LOVE the old gen Phaeton too, especially the W12 model. smile.gif I heard that the new Phaeton might come to the US in 2014. I wish VW offered the Scirocco in the US since I really liked that too. And regarding the grill, no I didn't do anything to it yet but I do plan on plastidipping the 4 vertical slats later on. As of now the car is completely stock.

That pic of your car in the snow reminds me of a Lincoln MKS. As vehicle chat vets know, I have quite the soft spot for Lincolns.

btw, try not to double post

I don't even consider that a Lincoln. That's like less of a Lincoln than a CLA is a Mercedes. A proper lincoln should be the length of several football fields, have an engine the size of a house, and weigh as much as a decent-sized cruise ship. Ya know, something like this.

My grandpa drove one of those. We used to have entire fleets of Cadillacs and Lincolns. If you look at ROC presidential footage from back in the 70s to 90s, you can probably see some of our cars as we lent them to the president when he visited.

Also we were one of the first to have a V8 in the country.

Good idea, I think the car looks great apart from those slats: they just don't belong.

It's basically a Ford Focus estate in drag, and with a decent engine selection is it not?

I want a 4x4 again.
I'm considering getting a LandCruiser 200.
I'm hearing the twin turbo diesel V8 uses up to 5Lof oil per 10,000Kms, which is not what I want.
The Petrol might be good buy though, also costs less to buy.

Do want. Just with some offroad mods.

I would have thought your biggest concern would be fuel costs, as 5L of oil is comparatively cheaper than the litres of petrol/diesel needed to drive the 10,000km.

But when you buy a V8 4x4 you expect to pay for the fuel. The twin turbo diesel V8 Landcruiser is more fuel efficient then my current V8 sedan around town. The petrol LC uses more, but it's still well within my means.

The thing is no modern car should use a noticeable amount of oil. Even though 5L of oil is very inexpensive in a dollar amount, it's the fact you always have to top it upn(inconvenience), or you risk damaging the engine which will be costly.

I notice you have a UK flag, assuming you're from there I think your unleaded cost average 1.40 pound a litre?
Here its equivalent of like 0.93 pounds

Finished installing tan leather seats from a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in my '99 Cherokee Classic:

The front seats bolt right in. But the rear took a bit of modification, but it's so worth it! So much more comfortable.

I didn't happen to take a picture before so I looked online and found a picture of one that was just like mine:

The best part of the upgrade is that the whole rear seat only cost $25 at a local pick your part. I went on half-price weekend and scored! The front seats I swapped in several years ago, they cost me $100 for the pair.

Here is the vehicle I'm getting for myself (Probably going to pick it up this weekend or next. Whenever my dad gets me the money)

Chevy Blazer ZR2 inlove.gif inlove.gif inlove.gif Can't wait. Already have a deck for it and everything. I would Have preferred a Tahoe though.

Here is the truck I really wanted but I settled for the Blazer.

user posted image

Chevy Tahoe GMT800 Generation I want a Tahoe so bad. They are bigger than the Blazer and basically a Suburban with some of the extra fat trimmed off. Just an awesome SUV. But I settled with the Blazer because of price and slightly better gas mileage (~20 MPG vs. ~14 MPG). But I think I might get one at the end of summer when i have saved up over $6k and put that towards one. But I'm not sure though.

I think the Astra is pretty nice. I learnt to drive in that or a Corsa (older models). In fact I just had a driving lesson today. I already have my full UK license but I was craving some shifting action and it was faster and cheaper to call an instructor I know than to rent a car for no reason. Fun times.
