I was always bothered by the fact that you cannot travel to San Fierro and Las Venturas in the beginning of San Andreas. So I decided to open it up a bit. So you can travel to anywhere now without worrying about road blocks or a 5-star wanted level. I also opened up many of the interiors. So you can gamble right away. This does not disable the wanted stars that you get for entering Area 69, Easter Basin, or the police impound areas.

To use this mod, simply place the main.scm and scripts.img in the data\scripts folder (make sure you backup your original copy first)

You must start a new game for this mod to work as previous saves are no longer compatible.

Latest version = 1.3.


Here's a list of everything that's been changed in this mod:

All barriers on the bridges have been removed.
The wanted level for leaving the cities is now removed.
All casinos, clothing, barber, tatoo, and food stores are accessible from the beginning of the game.
All weapons are available to be purchased from the Ammunation.
All 4 weapons challenges are playbale from the start of the game.
The 'Wrong Side of the Tracks' mission does not end when you reach the bridge to Las Venturas.
Many vehicles that spawn later in the game are available in the beginning.
The doors are no longer locked on the San Fierro airplanes.
There may also be a few more minor things as well. If you find something that's not on this list, let me know.

These are features the may be added to future versions:

Unlock all of the races.
Open up the 3 driving schools (not the flying one though).

These features are not (and will not be in future versions) unlocked:

You will still get wanted stars for entering the military zones or police impounds.
No additional weapons or pickups will spawn.
Interiors that you shouldn't be able to enter (Madd Dogg's mansion, the crack den, etc) will not be unlocked.
The Verdant Meadows planes do not spawn until you purchase it.
The rewards for the oysters, horseshoes, 100%, etc. will not be unlocked.

do the keyboard cheat codes still work with this? also, could you unlock the driving/motorcycle schools and 1 or 2 safehouses in both SF and LV?

Right now I've got all of the safe houses available to purchase right away (the 3 businesses are still unavailable until you unlock them though). I'm also looking at opening the driving, motorcycle, and boating schools (the flying will be unlocked).

I will not make buyable casinos part of this mod though. I want to keep it as close to the original script as possible with just a few tweaks.

Arg...starting a new game for new mods is never any fun! Isn't there some way that we can ammend both the main.scm and the player save file simultaneously?

No there isn't a way.

I wonder if there is any way that the safehouses in Las Venturas and San Fierro can be unlocked in an update.

Yes there is and I already have it done. I just haven't uploaded the new file yet. I'll likely get it done within the next 6 hours though.

awesome. smile.gif i don't want to push my luck, but, could you put in a "NRG+Packer" spawner? this will make your mod, along with the keyboard cheat codes, perfect for stunters like me who want to be able to get right to the stunting as soon as possible.

Buzzsaw, I can probably make that file easily enough for you. Which buttons would you like to press to spawn the vehicles?

EDIT: Here is the same scm as 1.1 with the car spawn cheat added to it. Hold sprint and duck for 0.5 seconds and a Packer spawns on your right and an NRG500 spawns on your left. Those buttons can easily be changed to any combination of the key_press buttons.

hi i know this is my first post and i may be asking a bit much but as it i need to start a new game to do this i was hoping you would oblige me(yeah like most old folks (i`m 27) im dyslexic)

i have completed gta sa on ps2 and now own it on pc and am amazed at the speed of the mods release (hell i only broke the pastic seal for the game 24 hours ago!!!!)

thier are two mods that i`m interested in yours and the hot coffee mod

since both edit the main.scm file is thier a way you can combine them ? (although i`d prefer just the "coffee" games were re enabled and not the immediatly have every girlfriend and immediatly be have coffee after every date (wheres the fun in that??)

also when u say the schools will be open does that mean they will be complete ? (it took over a week for me to get silver and bronze at the air school and a mate had to get bronze for me on the driving school) so that would be cool also how are you editing it is it easy for a noob to do?

yes i know a lot of questions here that i debated pm`ing you with instead of posting but figured your answers would help others too.

- Spawn 3 vehicles, NRG - Packer - Turismo
- 24/7 daylight+cloudy
- Gang respect
- All vehicle stats full
- never hungry

EDIT: the buttons for the spawner would be better as the action key + camera change key. this way there's less chance of an accidental triggering of the spawner when falling off a moving bike. that may seem strange but many times, while using a VC spawner with the same button combo, i have been holding sprint/accelerate and accidentally pushed crouch/horn during a failed stunt in which i fall off the bike, thus immediately activating the spawner unintentionally. this problem only occurs when using a joypad with classic controls. but yeah, the more obscure the button combo the better.

I could use the camera view button, but that would cause the camera to change every time you spawn a car. How about using jump and duck at the same time, or jump and maybe look left and right (all 3 at once). The choice is up to you though.

just wondering, what tool did you use to edit sa's scm( i dont have the game yet)? just vc mission builder 1.5, or is that impossible?

@Bokman: I just tried the slot machines and they work for me. If it doesn't work with this download let me know. I might have a theory as to why it doesn't work.

@MRGREAPER: I will likely add the sex stuff eventually. And if I do, it'll be just like you're talking about. So you can get "coffee" more frequently, but all of the girlfriends must be unlocked throughout the game. And I'm not sure what (if anything) I'm going to do with the driving school.

This mod is going to be designed so it's still basically the same game as Rockstar released but with these minor tweaks. Although Someone else is also working on a different mod which opens up a lot more things, llike a few new vehicles parked and rewards for some of the side missions. Maybe some of those features will be put into that mod.

I did some testing and found that the slots work for me in the original 1.0 version, but crash the game when the 1.1 version is installed. Any ideas why would be appreciated.

cool thnx for the reply i shall leave it a day or two before i play ...... making the schools easier to get bronze would help me loads but i see the angle ur coming from ... looking fwd to playing a great mod smile.gif

Would it be possible perhaps to make the schools purchaseable? For say somthing like $500 for driving and $3000 for flight. Basicly just an "exam and licensing fee". Personaly I think that is a realistic, and plauseable solution. My only wory would be in making the missions that send you thier some how conflict with the schools normal avalibility. but since techicaly you should have to pay any way I do not see that as to bad unless the game some how freaks out over it.

also could you relase 2 mods?
1) As is now, just no spawning of cars. I like the SA script and would like to play through it without cheating. Yet I personaly, like you yourself, cannot stand the restricted cities. Logisticaly it makes 0 sence. At least in VC it was a hurricane that the road blocks were set up for. Please do not tell me tenpenny setup all that, you do not get even 2 stars for just poping 1 officer in this game.

2) your mod+trainer.

I guess I am wierd but I like my content and trainers seperate. I suppose that is because if I can easly cheat I will much more often blush.gif

i love the purchasable idea even if buying them just ment you got all bronze maybe a little more pricey though kinda like bribing the license guy
