OMG? I released summin? Ok no col file, but I can't be arsed to piss about with it at this stage. Original Skimmer col file should be ok or allowing you to take off from land as well as sea, if not, just don't land on land duh tounge.gif . Handling file should make it easy and fun to fly this thing now, just remember it won't like trying to level out of a dive until its in a height region the skimmer usually flies in.

Please, just someone test this? tounge.gif Also it'll give you screen-shot guys summin different to take pictures of tounge.gif

Alpha as regards the model goes, but its the final version for VC

Enjoy....

Oh yeah! Video!

Forward swept wings means better handling at low speed without sacrificing the aircrafts ability at high speed. The wings in a 2D view (top down) may appear to almost act like airbrakes, but if you use the area ruling theory, its about as aerodynamic as is older Su-27 comrades.

With the wings sloping the other way, it pushes air towards the aircraft when going over the wing, as opposed to away from the aircraft, thus more air going over the control surfaces, and so increased manouverability at lower speeds.

Problems with FSWs (Forwardly swept winged aircraft) before was making light and strong materials that made the aircraft light enough to fly well and to keep the plane together. Hence the X-29 of the 1970s never became a production model smile.gif f*cking post wrappers!

Cheers smile.gif And you release summin? NEVER! tounge.gif hehe. I wanna see that Escort Cossie of yours smile.gif

Jet sounds and handling

Ignore the handling, it sucks. Still, you can always use the jet noises. Forgot who made this now...ummm..one sec

Nice work mate, finally someone who takes notice of rules and can actually understand how to use title tags. smile.gif

The model looks fairly clean, shame about the driving skills though. Maybe a little glossy, but the modelling side looks clean and well done. Looking forward to more releases from you. tounge.gif

Nice plane GTAuron! I downloaded it and put it ingame. I would take some pics but I cant get in it, I guess the player dummie is too far up. How did u manage to get in?!

I hope that you make a proper COL file because the skimmer file is too small.

Also, maybe a better body texture? It seems a bit too "plain".

The reflection map is too reflective as well IMO. Perhaps you would use the standard vc reflection map, it would look much better. smile.gif

Im sure you will fix that, since its an alpha and all, and the plane is looking good now anyway.

I made some sorta col....though it really was crap I didn't use it, plus it meant you couldn't take off from land smile.gif . I use Myriad to use it, it spawns near Diesel GTs docks, so it is actually low enough to get in to....meh spose I should make a col about now, look out for an update...probably not for like a while though I'm still fragile after getting paraletic on Friday and I got exams this week.

Hmmm..body texture might be an idea, though it is meant to be like SA style...meh and most of the body IS textured, although not a lot of it may be visible, also thats just a very early alpha version missing a LOT of textures all over the underneath and side etc....

And @JJ: Me want one too! The scales about right if you look at the pic of it near Myriad park. Its just about the right side for Tommy to fit snugly inside the cockpit, pretty much how you would in a real fighter (me should know me sat in quite a few now).

@GT: I actually guessed the topic title..aye, SA should sort its handling right out though...though my handling file is rather fun in comparision to the original smile.gif

@T-808: np wink.gif

@Crazy: Yeah the dummy is actually IN the cockpit....hmmm..ya know if one of you want, someone could make the col for me...I ran out of study leave time to do it in now tounge.gif . f*cking post wrappers!

oh yeah btw @JJ, i got a 1:72 scale Su-47 Berkut recently, once i've finished making it i'll put it next to my 1:72 scale Eurofighter, the Su-47 is massive in comparison! f*cking post wrappers!

I'd rather prefer the F-15C because its faster and stronger and its a strike fighter( Battlefield 2 has one whoo! )

BIT OF A BUMPAGE!

well i'm not continuing them on til an SA .dff filter is released, as their potential isn't fufilled in VC.

By the way I did some research into getting into the bugger, and I don't see how you lot are having trouble. To get into the plane when its on the water, try near its wingtips or if possible, its cockpit. When on land, just stand beneath the cockpit.

Muhahahah it's easy as hell to get in my copy because I modified my main.scm to spawn the skimmer always, not just when you've completed the mission that you have drop posters.. Comeon guys, it works perfectly!

Here's my pic of it working (notice Interstate-420 installed tounge.gif )

No I will not share my scm! If you want it, make sure Interstate-420 is installed, then I'll hand it over to people who pm me!
