I just wanted which player are you guys planning to use online or is everyone going to play as CJ? I hoping to play as an Azteca or Vago.

well assuming the SCM injection works out, and opcodes are found....

should be (from a dev standpoint) easy to develop multiple skins.

It'd be nice if you could pick a skin, and THEN pick which weapons you want (from catergories like short range, long range, pistol, etc) Cus its pretty naff having to pick a certain skin to get certain weapons in MTA. Would make clan wars much better too, as you wouldn't have to waste time doing weapon pickups.

Indeed selection of weapons would be better just as selection ofthe individual characters. Also, one mroe question this is a new idea I have had how about the option of choosing which car to spawn with? Just a suggestion...

I think we're thinking of too much stuff. The game would be so short-lasting and become boring if we had the options of everything. Now what would be useful is that option you jsut said but just for clan wars (enable/disable). Things like cars/heli's would be good to have quick access too in a clan war so pickups/meets etc can be arranged quickly. But fighting would be the same as usual

i hope the fighting wont be the same (same as what..? did you mean mta? then no). i hope there wouldnt be no gay ass deathmatch mode. we should let MTA:SA care about the same assed deathmatch i think. they're pro in that lol
i think SA-MP should b something bigger and different.

For the weapons selection you should automaticly have weapons that match the ped. like a soldier starts with an m5,and if you don't want it then pick another weapon on the list

I think the Characters should be similar to GTA3 MTA 0.5 Shoreside Vale ones.

You can choose a combination of weapons (1 Single-Hand Gun, 1 Hand Weapon, 1 SMG/Shotgun/Machine Gun and 1 Sniper

And like have Spawns like Grove Street Families, Ballas, Vagos, Triads, Da Nang etc.

Character skins/weapons/ammo is all specifiable through a Server-side 'ini' file.

well, like i said before.

(and some new stuff too)

it should be like this:

the server settings .INI should look like this (related to skins anyway)

CUSTOMCHAR=0
CHARSELECT=1
CHAR1=Cesar
CHAR2=CJ,blackrag,blacktank,blackjeans,(etc)

FOR CHARACTER SELECT ON

and

CUSTOMCHAR=1

FOR CUSTOM SKINS ON

the client custom skins .INI file should look like this:

[CHARPROFILE]
OpiuM=CJ,blackrag,blacktank,blackjeans
:AA:OpiuM=CJ,bluerag,bluehood,bluejeans,bluehat(tilt)
GayHumor=CJ,gimpsuit

if CUSTOMCHAR is set to 1

this way, the server and client have all the control they will ever need.

for clan wars you could select your clanwar profile and whala, custom gang colors.

Client custom skins? No. This INI file will have to be stored on the server's machine, not the client.

If it were on the client, people could easily change their appearence from notepad.. and not only that, they could put in an incorrect value or something.

you can also keep track of invalid things server side.

BUT i think there should be one option for letting the client specify and one for the server to specify (server account)

BUT (again) my idea is FINE for DM

if they REALLY ARE making a MMO refer to the beginning of my post (jacobs post too)
