Just received this from Rockstar:

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that IGN will be posting a new San Andreas feature over the next two days.

I am also trying to confirm whether its Xbox or PC coverage or both.

Nice, thanks for the updates! Cool screens

Any chance of making those screens appear one above the other though, talk about nasty screen stretch. hehe

Thanks for posting the screens, even though those shots look thoroughly mediocre to me...

Seems to be an article to get people that never played the game on the PS2 used to the story before they play it.

son a of bitch! xbox-this, xbox-that, im sick of seeing xbox coverage you whores (directed @ media in general) !!

i read somewhere, i think it was jordans E3-R* interview-thing, that there might not even be a PC trailer until after the game is out. what a f*cking gyp.

Gotta say too, that these are easily the least impressive batch of xbox screens. if not for the clear wording that they are infact from the xbox, they could easily pass for ps2 screens.

Thats what I thought but there is a screen with the text "Whilst running, lock onto a target by pulling "R" then press "Y". So I guess its and xbox screen.

MicroSoft probablt paid R* to mainly cover the Xbox version, if that were true I wouldn't be suprised.

The problem is the PC has no one rich company to stand up for it and buy major contracts.

Ahh well, as long as I get SA on the 10th I don't care if I never hear about it again till then biggrin.gif

Yeah, they definitely look the worst out of all the 'box screens that we've been given. My guess is that they're in-game shots, at least they better be, if those are retouched then microsoft's port of the game really won't look much better than the PS2 after all. confused.gif

the textures look more defined than the ps2 textures..

PC version is going to beat them all though :-)

It's up. Notice the bike shadows that I was referring to in my articles:

Damn, Jordan, those look so much better than the ones posted earlier in this thread. A lot less grainy. They're all similar shots, not really scenery, just up-close of CJ doing different things. I'd even say the second set show off more, but they look even better.

The article is now up, but the video is not. This article starts the same as the previous one but this tells us about dating, pool, tagging, modding, and shopping.

GTA:SA: Life in the Hood, Pt. 2
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas isn't all about shooting and driving. We explore dating, modding, and clothes shopping.

May 27, 2005 - Yes, it's out on PlayStation 2. And yes, it's been out on PlayStation 2 for quite some time. But it's also the most popular PlayStation 2 games in this generation, with little argument.

And the end of the article mentions this:
QUOTE
Look for GTA: SA: Life in the Hood Part 3 next week.

sad.gif Looks like we won't see Part 3 until 3-4 days before Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Xbox release. Thanks IGN. dozingoff.gif

I wouldn't expect he video to be up until tomorrow morning, because that's how it was when IGN had an E3 Article. The trailer wasn't up until the next day.
