If you don't already know, which I doubt many do, I do have my own site. What seems to be bothering me, is that earlier today I noticed that compared to most other sites, mine scrolls very, very poorly. I've tryed to limit everything to CSS, but I do have a header and webcam image that is shown on every page.

At first I was thinking that it might be image sizes, but after making the header a *.gif and reducing the file size from 12.5 KB down to 4 KB, and even removing the webcam image from the right navigation menu, it still stays the same.

So I just need to know if there's anything I'm missing here. I've tryed my site on both IE and Firefox, and it still is jerkier than other sites.

Me as well.
I don't see anything that could be causing the slow down, either.

It seems slow to me though.

However, have you tried compressing your HTML code and see what happens?

I am unsure if browsers has problems with a lot of spaces and useless break lines in the source. My own site has very few spaces, and it runs surprisingly smooth.

EDIT: If that is not the issue, then try and stop the background from following down... just make it a normal background.

Exactly what I was going to say. I'd bet it's because of the fixed background... just let it flow.

It works perfectly in Opera 7.54 though.

Oh! Heh, thanks guys. I hate how sometimes the littlest things can mess things up.
