I found the "bowel" after driving around in 15 minutes. We really need a map to these islands, I don't know where I'm driving biggrin.gif

Just open up Myriad Islands with MooMapper and make your own map. That's what I'm going to attempt to do later today. biggrin.gif

I'm not claiming lots, just showing what I'm working on. So if you'd like to see it on the new islands, maybe illspirit could think about these when he's slicing up the islands.

And for the ingame size, I measured something like this:

I'm guessing I could have the circus finished in 1 month. The plaza will take about 3 or 4 months.
That's only modeling and texturing. Getting it ingame depends on how different San An is to VC when it comes to importing models.
So, what do you think?

Amazing! I LOOOOOOOVE it. I think it's a good idea to hold back on bulding lots untill SA. Makes sense as its now around 2 weeks away. I also have the last mission script for vice city with a few updates. Head over to the mission script topic for the download...

Illspirit, the islands are amazing and very fun to explore, even if there is no ingame radar-map yet. Anyways, GTA fans can finally have a high-quality mountain in their game! rah.gif
BTW, I wonder what SR has in store for us with that tunnel.
But I have a little prob with installing the Round-about. Those COL files are in .cst format and I can't open them. The CollEditor says it can't read any collision data. If anybody would help me I'd really appreciate it. smile.gif

Open the .col file you want to add the .cst to in CollEditor, from the menu choose "Coll|Import Collision Script...", and open the .cst file.

Sorry for Offtopic but i had a little problem with myriad special after the installation from northern islands.So when i go in a car * it comes on every car* a mission will start but i cant stop it or cancel.The mission name is cuban mission.Hope ya can help me confused.gif

Sand collisions have been mentioned above.

The disappearing tower is due to the rotation of the object. There is a bug in the engine that doesn't rotate the bounding objects properly, the object is culled since the game thinks it's out of sight. This will be fixed on the next export by removing the rotation.

Really nice job! Apart from making the islands look even better, I remember somebody saying that lods can stop the random crashing too (am I right?). smile.gif

Not if they are just copies of the full detail models. The purpose of LODs is to provide reduced detail models to be rendered in the distance, so less polys have to be drawn, to keep performance at a resonable level. What he did looks good, but isn't recommended.

like steve-m said, they are not recommended. i just wanted 2 see in the distance, and it appears to be stable too. i've done the same with the unrealeased lots on illcom as well.

lods do not stop the game from crashing, they are purely visual enhancements for draw distances so that things don't appear to disappear, and low poly is the general rule for them.

to fix the dissappearing bridge
open illnorth ide and delete line 5221, illnorth_3,...........

open illnorth ipl and delete line 5221, illnorth_3,...........

add this line underneath line 5220, illnorth_2,............

5220, illnorth_2, 0, -400, 800, 15, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 1, 6.12303E-017

yes that means you now have 2 ipl lines starting with 5220, in illnorth ipl

you could also delete illnorth_3.dff from the img and delete illnorth_3 from illnorth.col but its not essential.

its a cheat but it works tounge.gif
