When i start Lego Star Wars, it gives me the message "This game requires Pixel Shader 1.1 support, and your card doesnt support it. I have a GeForce 2 mx 400 which can run swat 4, any patch something?

Well, I believe PixelShader is an integrated part of the graphics card's electronics, so I don't think a patch would solve it.

Buy a new card.

In case I'm wrong, alternatively try to update your graphics card drivers.

Well since it's impossible to die it gets dull pretty fast. But it sure is entertaining to just watch. At least for a while. I think you either have to be a complete star wars-freak or 10 years old to really enjoy it.

Erm, is 'impossible' meaning difficult under normal circumstances, or literally impossible?

Literally. When your life reaches zero, you explode into a cloud of lego-pieces and respawns at that exact location 2 seconds later. The life is Infinite.

This game is intended for like 7-10 year olds.

Isn't pixel shading where it looks cartoony, like in the game XIII (Thirteen), I think it was called.

I also think they use that sort of animation in Futurama, every-so-often.

You are thinking of cell-shading.

Theres no way a card that old will support pixel shading, also the game is fun while it lasts, I am 20 years old and a Star Wars nerd so I love it tounge.gif

I heard the game was really short even though it's based on Episodes I,II,and III. That's really sad. Also it's very kiddie. Unless you like legos or star wars, ALOT.

Funny, seeing as i looked in Swat 4 options today, and it said "Enable Pixel Shader 2.0" or something like that, and it was set on "Yes", so i set it to "No", and there's alot of difference in the shadows and lighting, etc.

Yeah I've played the demo and its actually quite fun for both fans of Lego and Star Wars, about it not running yeah a GeForce 2 ain't gonna cut it. The reason Swat 4 worked was because it may have something that emulates pixel shading but honestly I dunno.
