Avant would be the best in my opinion if IE would stop giving me sh*t all the time.

I open a website, and it's all like "lolwtf is activeX? omg rofl Give him five thousand warnings that we disabled activeX!1111lololshift"

I use Opera myself, it's great once you register it (how you do so is your choice, wink.gif ).

I never really got into Firefox, by the time I got around to trying it, I was too used to Opera to even see what features it has that are better or worse.
The thing I love about Opera is tabs being automatically saved. I've got about 15 open right now, I just have one for every category (blogs, movies, music, games, mods, forums, etc) or site, and it's great to know that if the browser crashes, it'll be exactly the same when I re-launch it (does Firefox have this? Probably does, but I'm too impatient to find out).

Firefox is great, but I use Opera because it has tonnes of features, like an IRC client and Email client.

There is an extension that does that, called "session something" or "something session" sorry for the ambiguity.
(EDIT)
I knew I saw one, "SessionSaver - SessionSaver restores your browser -exactly- as you left it, every startup, every time. Not even a crash will phase it. Windows, tabs, cookies + scrolling -- they're all saved."
I think that's what you meant, but I've never used it. That's what I like most about firefox though, to begin with it has more features than IE, and if you want another feature, someone has most likely made it. I keep mine pretty light though, only the six or so that I use the most.
(RE-EDIT)
Damnit! Topics always get moved while I'm editing a post. I need to type faster.

Avant > * by far. Even though Avant uses the IE engine, I've never had to deal with it crashing or f*cking up like IE. I'd use Firefox more, but there are still some things about it that irritate the hell out of me.

Maxthon is based on the the IE engine too, but I've never tried it.

I used to use Avant religiously, and Firefox annoyed me with lots of the little things which it missed that Avant had.. Until I found out ways to make those things happen in Firefox, through extensions etc.. I never had a problem with IE, but that's not why I switched - It's just the better browser.

Well for me its Firefox although today it made me kind of hate it, updating to the latest version reuslted in all my bookmarks, extensions, settings etc. being deleted lol so I am not too happy with it. Other then that its great, I did used to use Advant but once I relised that Firefox could be adapted to my tastes I've been hooked.

I use Firefox the most, but use other browsers for testing of webdesigns.
IE has by far the worst engine though.
So hard to write compliant code for it sometimes.

Here's a list of browsers to get lost in: http://browsers.evolt.org/

Well, pardon me, sir.

I will place mine one which browser that follows most correctly HTML and W3C standards. Opera and Firefox are then the two browsers I would put my money on. But Firefox wins for at least two reasons;

A. Firefox is free.

B. Opera does in fact allow you to display incorrectly CSS, which should not be the case in any browser.

There are probably more, but really, I don't care about user-friendlyness. But Mozilla should be quite good too, since it does display HTML and W3C standards in the standard way, heh.

Lastly, I only use Firefox to test my webdesigns, since I know Firefox displays HTML/CSS correctly, so, if another browser is not comfortable with that, too bad.

And mainly because I only have five browsers; Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, Lynx and Links.

I reckon Opera is pretty messy, I don't enjoy using it at all.

I've never heard of Maxthon :S
