I have GTA3 and I have just started playing it again for the fun of it. I have a very good PC in my opinion; good enough to run Doom 3 on high at 1024 x 768 and never drop below 60fps. So my question is should I buy Vice City for 20.00 or wait till June 6 and get SanAndreas. Are there any new features or anything that is putting SA way over Vice?

Well, San Andreas has better graphics in general, like the lighting looks improved and the models seem to have more polygons to them. With any luck at all, they'll fix the fact that Vice City doesn't use mip-maps and so doesn't even use trilinear filtering. That's just crappy, and so of course I've been spouting off about it on this forum quite a bit.

The fact that it's also like 6x larger than Vice City is important.

GTA: San Andreas is way better then GTA: Vice City.
The proplem is, if you first have tried GTA: San Andreas, then you will propely donīt like GTA: Vice City.
If you have money enough, then go buy GTA: Vice City and finish it first, when you are done with that, then you can buy GTA: San Andreas.

By the way, welcome back to the forums. smile.gif

i would just get SA - more features, bigger, longer, more replay, and will probably be better optimized for PC than VC. its your call though

The PC Version will probably cost 50.00 alone since most PC games cost 49.99 new some 54.99 and higher. But yes I guess Ill just wait till June 6 and get SA. Does it have multiplayer?

Vice city is an an awesome game, as is gta3. (and of course SA)

I'd also sugest VC before SA, because as with the switch from gta3 to gta:VC, once you play the new one it'll be very difficult to go back..

I tried playing gta3 after finsihing VC a few times, and it drove me nuts, all the features that are missign pissed me off too much. Primarily not being able to ditch your vehicle when it is in motion.

ARG.

$20 is a little steep for suh an old game, but I....

Don't worry to much about certain features missing. I remember the very first one coming out GTA1 & personally I was not impressed. Poor Graphics etc. Now I heard so much about San Andreas & decided to purchase it brand new. Wooooohooo biggrin.gif
I'm now hooked
This game just has everything I personally ever wanted in a game
My kind of action (Syphon Filter 1ish)
My Kind of driving (Ridge Racerish)
My kind of fun (Violentish Joking)

But after playing San Andreas. I've since purchased GTA3 & GTA Vice City & I'm Equally Impressed with those

As you can see theres an ish thing going on lol
Just buy it & you won't be dissapointed

SA is a much better experience once you've played Vice. The story just links togeather, becuase the whole 3 games are linked story wise. Vice is still a very good game.
