Sound on headphones

I just got these headphones today, http://www.target.co...asin=B000092YPR
and I keep trying to get the volume up but nothing on the pc would work, and there is nothing on the headphones, any ideas?

where in the computer did you plug them in?

Yeah either you plugged it into the wrong hole, MIC or line in. Or um...maybe your volume is just down? Check your volume control and see if anything is muted etc..

I plugged it where the speakers were, and the volume settings on my PC are all up.

The speakers may have been plugged into a line out slot. Look for a clearly labelled headphone jack somewhere on the computer.

On my comp the headphone jack is in the front next to a few USB ports under a cover.

Have you looked for hidden jacks of any sort? Or maybe it's like my cousin's computer and you hook the headphones to the headphone jack on the side of one of your speakers?

Have you tried plugging speakers in to make sure that sound is coming out of your computer? Then you can try to plug your headphones into your speakers, most speakers have a slot for headphones now-a-days. Make sure that our headphones work that way if possible.
