With what program did you make that ? It doesn't look too bad but the edges aren't soft ... you might want to improve that one. But a good beginning, that's for sure.

I made the outline in paint, then added color and text in photoshop. !1

It's not too easy to get .gif transparency, and smooth outer edges at the same time, so I'll give you that, the text however is taken straight from a tutorial (I used the same tut about 6 months ago wink.gif )
Try to experiment a bit. Use a more artistic font, arial often looks ametuer, and lazy if not done just right, also I personally don't like thick boarders like that.

Thats me being critical, but for a beginner, its not that bad, keep up the work, and you will improve.

No, It's just basic text with stroke and gradient overlay. And I'm a beginner, but not THAT much of a beginner. rolleyes.gif !1

looks ok, maybe the letters should be as jaggy as the outline, and remove the drop shadow, or try and get the outline to be as smooth as the text and add a bit of drop shadow into it smile.gif

nice job getting it transparent tho tounge2.gif

Scrap Paint and try to learn doing everything in Photoshop smile.gif

Btw...to make straight lines in PS hold Shift when you click. Thats how I do it, I'm not sure if there is another way.
