A PHP script.

I don't know it though, but my guessing is that it gets the userpage from the respective user, then removes all the HTML code it doesn't need.

So it only have the numbers for the post count.

It then makes a PHP image, which is a image that is generated by the PHP script.

Now, it can be two things though, either the PHP script updates itself each 12 hour, or it is generated each time someone views it.

It's kind of like Svip said, but you have to use http://www.gtaforums...memberbuddy.php to fetch the post count, as you have to be logged in to view Profiles, and that's just an over-complicated way of doing it.

All you need is a php script to read the file contents of memberbuddy.php to find your post count, and then to create an image for it. If you do a search you should find an example, I think Segosa may have posted his script not so long ago in a topic such as this.

If you're lazy/no host:

CODE

Take that and replace memberid with your... member ID.

By member ID you mean my name right? I put blindsk8er6d9, and it just says 9 thousand something, and that is wrong.

No, by member ID he means member ID. Take your profile link for example.

http://www.gtaforums...php?showuser=59

Your ID is 59.

I actually tried that before and it didn't work, I figured out that I wasn't capitalizing the img, I was just copy and pasting what anuj put. Thanks for your help though.

When I did that it came up with some message about me being "owned."

But now that everyone has access to at least one script, you're generous.

Yeah, so thanks for nothing smile.gif not gonna risk being "owned" again.

So that means anyone can use it, without getting that big pink block? Great.. I might stick it in as my avatar, if thats ok.

I think it's just because it's in his sig now. Otherwise he probably would have said something about it.

Does anyone know the average filesize and dimensions of this?
I know it would be different depending on your postcount, but mine for example is 2,043.

I was just wondering incase I did use one, how much room I'd need to make, so the max. dimensions for a four digit number, and the max. size in KB would help. Even an estimate.

Well it can range from a <1KB php file to around a 250KB php file you upload to the server, and it uses 0.13 KB of bandwidth or more per view.
