Some updates on GEM:
The name of the MP mod has changed to GEM.
We are working on a new version called GEM public2.
It´s about 90% done, and we are currently coding the netcode.
Current client design:

oh cool, i thought GEMM (or should i say GEM) died since the lack of activity on forums.
I'm looking forward to it anyways.

No C++? How are you getting inprocess then? That is, assuming you're going inprocess.

Besides, if you're actually drawing that server browser in the game - you'd have to be using the directx hook.. Unless you've somehow done it in VB6.

Everything Jacob said was true, VB and a DirectX Hook is near to being impossible. So I'd love to hear some sort of explanation.

The client sees that one value changed.
And shows the text with a hacked main text draw.
So the text is client based and can see which server is selected...
And the SCM shows the background of the serverbrowser.

The background is drawn in a TXD, gem.txd or sumthing.
Then a scm call will splash the txd, and the client holds the txd there until a game is selected from the memhacked text you see onscreen.

Thats the serverbrowser.
