This is the hardest choice I've ever had to make in my life.

I was originally intending to sell my outdated PS2 and buy an outdated Xbox. And I was going to, until it was brought to my attention that I could get a new rad computer for only a couple hundred more clams.

If I sold my PS2 and all accessories, I'd get approximately $550 (don't debate this figure, theres exchange rates and everything to think about, plus I've done the maths many times). The computer I would buy would be about $900, whereas the Xbox would be $400 odd.

However, I have an extensive collection of Mad Magazines that I no longer hold interest in, and I could sell them to raise funds. Their value is approximated at $150.

PS2 + Mad Magazines = $700 (Best case scenario).

Plus, it's my brithday on May 29, and I should receive upwards of $150 for that, which takes me up to $850, at which point I would start a raffle at school to get the extra money needed.

In a nutshell, the Xbox would be significantly easier to buy, but will not be such a joyous occasion when received. A new computer will be a prestigious and enviable possession.

Xbox vs PC, vote now.

PC. I have an XBOX, you're not missing anything. You could easily play games on your comp that are also made for Xbox. Plus the PC is soo much better.

PC, no contest. There's so much more versatility.

Good point. Plus, the main reason I was going to get the Xbox was for SA.
It's going to be on PC anyway, plus will be more enjoyable with a nice rad new computer.

Moved to Gaming Chat.

Go for the Xbox. No need to upgrade. no crashing, no viruses, no spyware, etc etc. A lot easier and cheaper. Hence why I chose it, and would over a PC for gaming.

The topic was not intended for gaming discussion. I am not making my choice on the basis of gaming. Only 50% of the choices had to do with gaming at all.

There is a need to upgrade, Xbox2 is coming out soon.
If your computer crashes so much that it's a problem, you're doing something wrong.
Antivirus.
Anti-Spyware.

It is easier and cheaper, but not as flexible as a PC.

I think I'm going to go with the PC, you didn't put forward a good argument.

It's 5-7 months till the Xbox 360 is released so just save your pennies for that.

Save it.
Invest it.
Make the money back, plus more.

Or, if you really must OMG-buy-something-this-exact-minute, go for the PC.

Well if you can get a good enough PC for $900 then go for that otherwise it may be better to either get the Xbox or save that money for either a better computer or a Xbox 360.

Care to post this PC you intend on getting?

the hardest choice you've ever had to make in your life? Go out and buy yourself a bicycle or something.

Either way, you'll be putting your balls in Microsofts pocket - I say get the PC.
