It's Massive! It took me 2 hours! I've only had Photoshop 7.0 for five days.

Really big, thus adding to its 'fakeness'. Definitaly(sp) need to make it smaller, work on the shading, and remove that white blob (i think its suppose to be a lens flare?).

It's funny, I asked myself the same thing when I saw it on the beach. To this day, I haven't figured out what the hell it is.

No offense, but it looks like you took a picture, made a new layer, made a circukar selection, spherized it, brushed in a sun, and added a few shadows using blending options. That should take an hour maximum, even for someone completely new.
