Hi everybody, I'm modding my old wireless mouse to create a Splinter Cell-feeling! I will paint it black and make three green led's in it. And I hope I can add a wire too but I don't exactly know how, could anyone help me with this last thing, help is greatly appreciated! I will post pics as soon as I finish it.

So you basicly just want to know how to add extra LEDs, right?
These links should:
help http://www.overclock...es/mousemod.php
http://www.geeklab.n...luemousemod.php
http://www.spodesabo...article/irmod/2 <-this one replaced the red led already in the mouse with a blue one, but I'm sure green would work just as well
http://www.metku.net.../cryo/index_eng <-this one goes well above and beyond what you're looking for but it does show how to add another LED besides the one already in the mouse.

If you want I can also try to find the guide that shows how to replace the wheel with clear plexi.

Yeah that'd be cool, well I've now painted it gray, because I don't have any black, but I allready have the holes for the leds.

I'm hoping when you said "Yeah that'd be cool" you meant you wanted a link for making a clear mouse wheel

@Atomic
Like one of these http://www.superbrig...ds.com/leds.htm
Ya think the 18000 might be a touch much?

//edit
BTW, I better get to see pics of this when you get done colgate.gif

Well that's seems quite hard, maybe there are mouse wheels which are allready transparent. Does anyone have information or a tut on putting a wire on because the thing just eats power.

Well sprayed it metallic black and two green leds, two yellow leds are in it now. If I don't have a wire it won't work, or just for fun, putting a battery on it but unless I get that, it won't work. Maybe wheels would work lol.

The only way you can get a wireless mouse to be a wired mouse is by throwing it away and buying a new mouse.
They have two completly different circuit boards inside. It would be like asking how do you make a mircowave into a blender.
