Star Wars: Empire at War previews

I was gonna wait for someone else to post this, but after reading the whole preview I just couldn't contain myself. This game looks so incredibly damn good, and its made by the old Westwood team so you know it'll be really well presented.
It seems like they're taking cues from Age of Myth. with hero units and specific counter-attacking units, which is nice. This game will be like a wet dream for me.

EA pulled the plug on Westwood a couple years ago, but a lot of the WS vets are working in another company on this project. I think the C&C series is dead.
But these Star Wars screens just keep getting better and better. Now after many years of waiting for the next C&C I've begun to tire of RTS games, but this looks too good to pass up.

Generals is cool but a bit dull after a while.

|The C&C Series is not Dead. After the success of C&C Generals and Zero Hour, it was announced in January this year that a new Red Alert game is in development, using the Generals engine.|
That's true, and perhaps we'll see something about it during E3. But I also remember hearing rumors that EA was getting ready to pull the plug on the RA3 project. Not sure how much truth there was to those rumors, but it could happen. That would be a shame though.
Generals was just a strategy game with the C&C tag slapped on the box. Not that it was a bad game or anything, but it didn't go with the rest of the C&C universe.
