Oh yes! We need a new rule, there is too much sh*t going here.

We need to stop this rebellion now! These people who doesn't seem to understand. THEY MUST OBEY!

I suggest that from now on, typing illspirit's name ( "illspirit" ) with a single uppercase letter ( e.g. A ) shall resolve in a ban or at least a verbal warning.

This is getting out of hand.

Thank you.

This should not be a rule, it is a good piece of advice though. His name is not spelt with any uppercase letters but many other names do not use them either, or have other capitalisations which are important to their readability. Just a sentence added to the GTAF readme would suffice. If it really bothers you, Svip, you could send a PM to everyone that you see doing it. It's hardly worth making a rule over.

Did you really have to do that?

Amended rules topic.

You see? We do take things very seriously around here.

(EDIT) Funky new rule removed. Obviously it's not serious enough for our cerby.

Cerb is nothing but a big party pooper. He won't give us any quality feedback as the self-appointed Voice of the People™, and then he shats upon Svip's identification of a catastrophe within our community. Poop, indeed.

I'm not sure if Anuj is "Anuj" or "anuj" but if it is the latter, this person should have a year ban. I once gave a person that on my forums. I specified it in hours. Now I remember, 8760 hours. Then I unbanned him. Or was it Him, I can't remember the username...Look into my eyes, damnit!

so what if a "fully lowercased" name is capitalized.

ex.

an admin named "panda" and we post "Panda".

That is a dumb reason to ban someone. Just because they type "Illspirit" instead of "illspirit". What if they beging a sentence with his/her name. It is correct grammar to capatilize the first letter of a word that begins a sentence.

Like.

"Illspirit is an really cool admin". Or some sort.

You're wrong, anyway. It would be "illspirit is a very homoerotic man."

"illspirit", gramatically, would always be lowercase, no matter what. You never change the spelling of a proper noun for any reason.

Anyway, it's funny that you were overanalyzing grammar to make some stupid point when your example contained the perfectly blatant flaw of using "an" before "really". So ha.

If you really care that much, why don't you just set up a word filter that corrects all the common mis-spellings of staff names, like the one that filters swear words?
