In one of the studios there is a bed.its studio D i think. Go on the bed and it will say "Take a nap?" Then say yes

Allow me to state this once more sense it seems some of you missed it:
MY HARDDRIVE HAS CRASHED. FIXING BUGS IN THIS MOD IS THE LEAST OF MY CONCERNS AT THE MOMENT, AS MY COMPUTER DOES NOT WORK. Since my computer that does work can't even play normal Vie City, there is no way I can even attempt to fix anything yet. As soon as I am able to begin working on a patch, I'll let you know.

Grim, if you want to play the dreams go stand on the bed in the studio with Fat Albert. As for that radar icon in the picture, yes it is from a previous mission, but no, we don't know where its created or we obviously would have removed it. We spent three hours combing through the code trying to find where its created, and since we could not find a single checkpoint that is created but not destroyed, we can't destroy it. Since its affect on gameplay is minimal, we figured people would rather play the mod then wait around another week or two while we tried to track it down, we just released it as is. That said, if anyone notices the first mission that the marker seems to remain after, please let us know as it would make tracking it down much easier when I am able to do so.

Kilia, I wish I knew why your game crashed on loading, or why the other people whose game crashed on loading did so. I don't though, so there is absolutely nothing I can to do help you. I'm very sorry. Maybe when my computers running properly again I can try to figure this out. In the meantime all I can even think of suggesting is maybe to try running the mod from the original Vice City exe.

We used the Anchor marker on the final mission, just to avoid any confusion whatsoever about your destination. So it's a moot point.

Here's a point I would like to make though. Myriad Island has had 37 team members. GTA:LC has had 53 team members, including 7 testers alone. Both projects have been running longer than we have worked with this game, we being two (2) people.

We appreciate all the feedback. However, even small, superficial mods are often glitchy. I actively encourage all of you to start your own projects or become involved in others.

For every small glitch you see in Long Night, there are 476 we personally tracked down and destroyed. It's mindnumbing, intensive, consuming work without reward other than the satisfaction of an enjoyable gaming experience. We've been more or less aware of every in-game glitch reported thus far, but we figured the hours of fun outweigh minor annoyances. We offer the known solutions for the unexpected crashes and unhandled exceptions. I regret the radio mishaps, but the launcher is not of our design. Whoever wants to fly their machine to Anatolia, I'll personally look into it.

Furthermore, Long Night has not even been out a week. The constant wear and tear of creating Long Night cost Hellfish his hard drive. We're on ancient PCs now. It's going to be a while for further development. The walkthrough might come out sometime in the near future.

But if you appreciate the game, talk about it. What's your favorite mission? Quote? Character? Zombie disposal method? Does the 80's nes-style sexism and female objectification of 'save your girlfriend' missions fill you with rage? I am just as interested in this as I am in what's not working for you.

If you dig it the most, why not post a few screenshots? We lost ours in the crash. We can't even play it right now.

Thank goodness for having it uploaded to other places eh? Be a shame to spend all that time on something then lose it... that'd be a major ouchy!

At any rate, I'm sorry to hear about your hard drive. I know comps can be a pain in the ass.

i installed it, but when i run the exe, it says something about inserting the vice city disc... which IS in the drive. any idea what my problem is?

the LC mod has around 5 active members, the Myriad mod has around 10 possibly active members. They donít work on the mod full time like the LC mod or this mod. Just like to emphasise that Myriad is a completely different modification to this one so you cannot compare it in anyway.

I'm going to give this mod a try sometime, looks good guys. Not many people get such mods done, but between you two you have.

The mod is sipmly awesome, been playing for 2 days now!!

I really got a blood rush of the 'gash run' mission, man that was hard! But I managed to do it biggrin.gif
This mod simply rocks, I like the 'nap' functions, the different storylines and ofcourse the hordes of zombies chasing you doing and trying to take a chunk out of you.

I always loved zombie movies, and VC is my fav. game, can you imagine how I feel wink.gif

Though this awesome mod, there are some things that keep me busy and I want to let it out!
-if you leave the studio, why can't you return?
-Upon leaving studio, it stops becoming a fortress, I ran out back and stole the skimmer, dropped myself in the studio and everyone was gone!
-Why can't you do things outside the studio? You can't enter anywere and there are no things to find. I'd love it if you could do stuff outside the studio besides missions.
-These zombies are a rare breed, they aren't the ones that you have to shoot in the head to kill wink.gif

If I finished the game, I'm gonna play again, but this time, write a walk through about it, if that's ok with you hellfish ?

Ow and a question : if any of your mates get killed by zombies, do they become zombies too?

They were crossbred with the 'zombies' from 28 days later. These zombies can run, bite, and steal vehicles! (one took off with my motorbike once!)

Seriously though, read the thread, too many people repeating the same questions/problems other people are having. Sad thing is, some things are resolved a few pages back.

Interesting concept, but no, they become dead bodies.

With the scripting in GTA: Vice city, you can only do so much while modding without changing the game's actual functionality... which would take forever.

Sometimes you just gotta take the good with the bad, and just appreciate the fact that it exists, and it's unique in it's entirety.

*edit* come to think of it, the zombies could come back to life, maybe if you, or something else touched them. Because afterall, medics bring people back to life in the game, so there must be some sort of 'respawn on top of drop' function.

Yes you can roam outside of the studio. Just go to the bed next to Fat Albert. When I did it I ran out of the strip club and started to run away from the hordes of zombies. I turned on a no-gravity mod and when some bikers showed up somehow, I ducked and they flew right above me since it was a hill. I took out my machine gun, since I was also in slow motion, and gunned both drivers down. I looked behind me... And all of the zombies swarmed on me. I tried to jump, but they blocked me and ATE ME ALIVE. Man, this is a fun mod.

What other stories do other people have that they would like to share?

Say it's a daydream. Say it's mass temporary suicide. Say the others are hanging out somewhere you can't access. Call it whatever rationale you want. Fact of the matter is whenever you're outside the studio hub, the studio will appear empty.

There are a lot of weapons and cars sitting around the map to entertain you. That and endless zombie hordes.

There are a variety of dreams that give you different entertaining weapons configurations in various interesting places on the map that would otherwise be a pain to walk/drive.

We tried to implement missions where people turn into zombies/a mission where you are a zombie. No dice.

Wow guys im a huuuuuuuge GTA fan and this Mod is probably the best ive seen so far!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

HOWEVER THE mod does crashes in the middle quiete alot,when i get in the mission where there's a black women sitting on stairs and starting to tell you that she was stupid enough to go to the hospital (or something) i get a blank screen and im thrown back to windows with a send/dont send error.


and BTW:i would suggest getting rid of the sadistic pic on the pause menu,just put in a naked girl instend like everybody does biggrin.gif

I really enjoy this mod, seriously it's all I do nowadays biggrin.gif

I enjoy the missions very much, although I'm kinda stuck right now with the lady in the hospital and the crazy cracker that runs across the streeets wink.gif

Anybody has ideas to pas this mission? I keep getting fried on my way down the stairs...

Pimp missions are also cool, with the mario bros. Hilariuous!

And who's that guy singing on V-rock? is that you Hellfish ?? tounge.gif

in the game i climbed a tree and started throwing things and they disapeared forever. ok i typed 'throw hands' and it said that my hands have flown away and will never be seen again. now when I try to dig with my hands it says "Sorry, the hands cannot be found" and now i am stuck!

oh wait, wrong thread, game, time period entirely. sorry. i'll go back to my text-based adventure games if you can tell me why zombies keep eating my hookers and how i can stop them.

also, i think the challenges are too challenging. i mean, you should cater to people who want easy gaming like me and everybody in my fourth period class. theres a lot of us. also, people want to just murder zombies and not be good at gameplay. we demand reward for being unskilled. also, i agree on the naked girl idea. there should be more naked girls. in general.

i havnet read this entire thread, but in the first five pages no one else had this problem.

for some reason, they people dont show up as zombies in my game, they show up as normal ppl, same skins and models from vice city (gay skater, old woman w/ shopping bags, etc). i double checked and im pretty damn sure i installed it correctly. ne body kno how to fix this? im using a no-cd crack in case that matters (no its not a pirated copy, just broke my play disc)

WAIT SO THE SMALL LINK THAT YOU POSTED IS WHERE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MODDING TOOLS AND ALL OF THAT STUFF? CAN YOU ALSO ACTUALLY MAKE YOUR OWN GUNS? BECAUSE WITH THE PROGRAM I HAD IT DIDN'T LET ME CREATE AND TRANSFER THE MODEL TO THE GAMES FOLDERS.
