I actually copy and pasted my reply from another topic but yeah I wrote this

In GTA3

We had trams, subways, underground tunnels and all that sh*t.

The gangs in GTA3 felt so real. Because you don't just have a stranger f*cking with you gang and coming in to your turf and expecting everything to be alright.

In GTA3 the gangs also felt real because of the reasons they hated you.

Like

Mafia: You killed the don. That felt like the realest hate to me because I've seen many mafia movies. If you killed a don it doesn't make sense for them to leave you alone when walk on their turf right?

Triads: This also felt real. If you killed countless men it makes so much sense.

Yardies: I like this one too seeing as in "kingdom come" king courtney turned on you. Tried to kill you with the suicide bombers. You survive and the yardies see you? It makes sense

Yakuza: I liked killing kenji then the Yakuza didn't hate you. Mainly because they didn't know it was you.

Cartel: Man this isn't really a reason but it makes sense. Catalina the leader tried to kill you but you survive. So yes the cartel will try to kill you.

So basically I went on about the gangs but I'm not done.

I liked the people you worked for in 3 too. Claude excepting jobs with just a simple jesture (SP?). But in SA CJ whined almost through the whole game which made him annoying.

The bosses in GTA3 were fantastic. When GTA3 first came out I never seen nothing like it.

Luigi: He was so cool. I liked how he was a club owner and sh*t. I liked the cutscene in "don't spank ma bitch up". I liked that angry note.

Joey: Yes another great character. I liked how he hated the forellis and stuff. He's really cool.

Toni Cipriani: Man what do I have to say. This angry guy was so cool. I liked how he always wanted f*ck up some triads. And his momma screaming in the background a lot. That was cool.

Salvatore: There really isn't nothing to explain here. But I like how he was so smooth and calm a real change from the angry bosses.

El Burro: Man nothing like taking work from a creepy mexican guy over the phone.

Asuka: I love how she was sadistic and serious. Her voice-over made her a nice character to work for.

Kenji: Actually I hate him.

Ray: Oh god one of the best bosses to work for. He was so cool to work for. He hides out in a toilet block and he was a bent cop nuff said.

Donald Love: Man this guy is so deep. The way he talks the only person in the game to never lose his cool. But his missions are hard.

King Courtney: I like his rasta style and how he speaks. My fav. cutscene involving his voice has to be "Uzi Rider".

D-Ice: I like his voices and all but I hated working for him.

Well that is all I was thinking.

That is why I think GTA 3 was better you have a comment?

My reasons for liking GTA3 better than any other:
1:It expanded the very idea of what GTA has been...
2:The graphics man the graphics it had better graphics than any
other...Some things in it looked wierd&crappy but most was good
like the cars...They had rounded edges unlike VC and SA where
they were like blocks...
3:The main character it had one of the most badass main characters...
Claude Speed...
4:It had the closest connection to the all of the 3D GTA's and the older
ones...
5:The people...The people were so cool in that there were pick-pocketers
and car-jackers unlike in VC and SA where you rarely got jacked and
never got robbed...(The pick-pocketers are in Portland near where
Joey's garage they were purple and black and walk slowly behind
people while stealing money they have only robbed me once)
6:The city,Liberty City was the coolest city mainly because it had
that dark mischevious feeling to it...And it had more public transportation
than the others...(Vice City had the taxi's after you got the
Kaufman cabs, and SA had the train...)
7:The weapons you could have them all there were not weapon
sets...You could have 2assaults 2heavy metals and 2 perjectiles(Gernades,Molotvs,ect...)

Since I'm a huge GTA3 fan, I'd like to also put in my input:

GTA3 had the realest feel too it. You know, just the grimey, old, and worthless feel to it. Poor people all over the streets with people getting robbed, jacked, and fights all over all the time. The city could of been bigger, but it had the most real feel too it. Graphics could of been better, and also maybe more missions for each person you worked for. I just felt there wasn't enough and it could of been more. Storyline is great, and Fido is just so badass. CJ, he is an annoying little prick who is afraid to do anything. Tommy Vercetti is badass too, but not like Fido. All GTA3's missions were the realest too, you'd expect most of the missions you did in real life. Except in alot of the other GTA's, that didn't all seem so real all the time and very far fetched.

My review stats:
Characters in order of best to worst --
1. Fido (Claude Speed angry.gif , hate Claude the name)
2. Tommy Vercetti
3. Carl Johnson

Gameplay in order of best to worst --
1. GTA3
2. San Andreas
3. Vice City

Realest feel --
1. GTA3
2. San Andreas
3. Vice City

Best scenery --
1. San Andreas
2. Vice City
3. GTA3 (got the cool grimey look to it though)

Best gangs --
1. GTA3
2. Vice City
3. San Andreas

OVER ALL BEST: GTA3

I don't need to say no more! GTA3 will never get older. I'm in Portugal. Have you heard something about the April 25th revolution? Is a holiday important.

Yeah, that's kinda how I felt at first. But, you have to give San Andreas more of a chance because it grows on you and it becomes better. I felt kinda homesick but it's worn down a little, I'm still a little homesick but what's there to be done?

GTA3 is much closer to the reality, the society that we are living in.
Who really likes the stuffs in 70s or 80s anyway?

GTA 3 had the most difficult gang defeat even with cheats. The Mafia.

[COLOR=blue]my reasons for liking GTA 3 better than SA?

Claude was quiet (or a mute. unsuree which). he would just do the missions. He never whined, complained or anything like that. Claude also kept his cool. he did alot with out going crazy on Liberty. Take the last mission for example. he Brought 50,000 dollars to Catalina's place, then he cracked that Cartel guy's arm with his extreme ninja skills. on that mission, claude took out a heli, killed over 50 cartels, and saved maria with out loosing his cool.

Tommy Vercetti was alright. he was too much of a wanna-be tough guy. he lost his temper way too much. the game hasn't even started, and he's already smashing phones on the ground. what i liked about him was he COULD do stuff.

CJ was a plain whinner. he always comlained. nuff said boutt CJ.

Also, the cartel hate you because you blew up their drug boat in Bomb Da Base Act II. [color\]

Technically, they hate you because it's in their nature. They're coded to hate you no matter what, it's just that you don't run into them until you reach the second island. Go to Staunton early, and they will still shoot at you. But yes, in the realistic sense, it's because you blew up their boat.

I think GTA3 is better than San Andreas partly because it takes place in present day (or what was present day at the time, 2001). Although that's not a big deal, I think what really propels it ahead of SA is that it does not have the feature of having to eat and re-learn driving/shooting skills. That was a chore for me in San Andreas.

GTA3 was a crime game, simply put. It wasn't as complicated as it's two successors, in which you had to make runs around the city collecting money from your properties and having to stop for a pizza. It was a shooting game in a very basic form.

But you were sniping. They couldn't have known it was you. 8-ball did it.

I think they hate you because of the very first scene. (see that for details)

In the mission 'Last Requests', Maria mentions that Salvatore was offering you and 8-Ball to the Cartel in order to make a deal. The Columbians could have easily inferred that since 8-Ball was at the scene of the crime, the sniper had to have been you.
