web standards? what more is there, Php, Flash, shockwave

everything that you so far you can put on a website IE can support

plus ive been running though a test

ive created a Favicon in the proper .ico icon format, and it works sort of...

As you can see, the favicon i made works with IE sort of...

it works when you load the image in by clicking this link

http://silver007.pis...com/favicon.ico

it also works when its in the Favorites list
but it dosent look right in the address bar, it works fine in Firefox as you can see, but not in IE, must be something to do with the Transparant parts

but look at Runescapes Favicon, it has Transparant parts as you can see from the desktop images, but it appears fine in the IE address bar!

so we have to find the proper transparent setting or somthing to make it look right

EDIT--------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok Forget what i said up there, after messing around in photo shop

I fixed IT!!!

http://silver007.pis...com/favicon.ico

Do you even know what web standards are?

And putting "Optimised for use with Firefox" is stupid. The website should be optimised for use with ALL browsers. It's ridiculous to expect users to change to a specific browser. Firefox isn't the perfect browser, you know.

I think I speak for the vast majority when I say "who the f*ck cares?"

Quite honestly, I don't care what other people use as a browser, and I care even less as to whether or not there's a favicon.

i guess i dont know what web standards are, and frankly i dont care

and i guess a stupid favicon isnt a big deal, i was only pointing out that there was a problem with it

if you mods/admins dont care, then theres nothing i can do about it, fine we can leave it the way it is, so i guess its the end of this topic

I'd hate to do this to a thread.

FIREFOX IS NOT GOD

IT IS NOT ONE BIT SAFER THAN IE

there was a website I could show you, but it got shut down. basicall,y if you have firefox, it sends a bunch of popups and makes your antivirus go crazy. then it has about 4363 popups with the mssage "Yes, firefox is safer and and more useful than IE" Then it closes.

< You bumped this thread to tell us that Firefox has holes in it?!

Well no sh*t, of course it has holes in it! Nobody says it doesn't, everyone just says that it has fewer holes in it than IE.

But I digress... you shouldn't have bumped this thread for that. Period. whatsthat.gif />
