thats odd nobody else has the land sync problem like i do. i have the most recent update to my knowledge. also, i think sam is bugged, it seems that whenever i shoot down the plane, it gives an exception error, i can post the error message if you like, i just have to do the mission again to get it

easiest way to have the choice of debug on/off is to create a new save game with it off, turn it on, and start another new game (or vice versa), it seems the state of the save game remembers if debug should be on or off, and as you only change one value, the saves still work with the changed scm..

The problem with that is the section of code that enables all of the debug features is only run once (at the beginning of the game) and if the debug is off then that code is skipped. The code never cycles back to that thread. So changing the debug variable midway through would most likely NOT work properly. In fact if you started a game with the debug off and after the first mission you changed the debug to be on. Then when you get to the point where the first Joey mission would start, nothing would happen.

Alright, for anyone who wants to get past Sayanora Salvatore without installing a patch past the V4 one heres what you do, download Vice City Ultimate Trainer and use the jetpack to fly into luigis hallway past where you are usually allowed to, what I mean is use the jetpacks clipping and go inside the hallway that is usually physically impossible to go into, wait until the time reaches the designated mission where salvatore leaves, then run out the doorway and you will se a mafia guy spawned, kill them quickly until salvatore spawns and viola!

mission complete

You could also shoot out the tires of the Mafia Sentinels. That makes it easier to catch Salvatore on the way back to his place.

Hi !

Ive got a problem with the german version of vc and the liberty city installer.

1. i installed full, clear gta:vc (1.0)
2. i installed gta:lc (v5) to the liberty city directory (audio from the gta III cd)

installation went fine, without problems

When I start the gta-lc.exe an error appears:

"Unable to determine the version of gta-vc.exe: GTA:LC will not be executed"

When I run the gta-vc.exe the game starts and crashes:

"GTA:LC unable to expand zone limit"

I tried the v4 installation -> same probs

I believe the German version of the exe was changed a bit (to censor some things) If that's the case, then this mod will currently not work with the German version. The same is true for the Australian version. That could change in the future. But I'm afraid for now, there may not be a way that you can play this mod. Sorry. sad.gif

pump action pimp, is the pimp supposed to hav the non gta3 shotgun? and behind the diablos appartment near the toyz truck is the shotguna suppsoed to be the same shot guna as the pimp had? it isnt the original gta 3 one but its fine with me biggrin.gif jus hopin more secret weapons be placed around. maybe a kantana on top of kenjis roof? smile.gif

Hey guys here is what i have found, whenever i play this (it's converted perfectly over a clean VC) after dropping off the hooker 1st mission, when i drive around the corner to the right towards the river it crashes. this is what i got...

Similar to the 747 sinking glitch. The L-train's first carridge sinks into the ground whilst leaving the doors behind.

Joey Leone seems to have something wrong with his neck.
Salvatore can turn his head and bend his neck at alarming angles.
A ped dressed in purple drags a weird shape behind him (pics soon)

I think nearly all of the cutscenes have buggy heads - they don't move their lips either. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Isn't the ped in purple just a pimp dragging his pimp stick? Maybe I have the wrong ped - i'll check out the pics when you post them.

urgh, so many bugs, glitches...not good not goos *jumps out of window*

okay let me start right from the start

1) wtf is lance in a cop suit doing in the car instead of 8ball!?!?!

2)'lance' goes into the hideout, 8ball comes out! magic! o might be wrong but claude was in his normal costume when he started but i may be wrong.

3)I go into the 2nd mission 'Luigi's Girls'
As soon as 8 Lance says 'this is luigis club lets go through the back and use the service door' my character freezes until 8 lance stops talking and then he walks

4) the bloody blokey helping luigi is jezz torent

5) smooth sailing from there until..oh wait another bug? impossible, misty gets picked up, and brought to the club when shes supposed to walk down the alley, she walks the other way.

6) this is only after 5 mins of play, what the hell is going on, and also some peds are in the wrong place, whats a builder doing near ammunation *cries* sort this all out please theres gonna be plenty more if i play for an hour cryani.gif

On the bright side though i think it is great how the gangs talk with eachother whilst on the other game they didn't

btw i dont know what the hell these smileys are but i'll post them for my sadness

People should think a little hard that most of the cutscene models are temporary replacements. If the cutscene models are already converted, people should think a little hard that nothing can be a perfect 1:1 conversion.

Just had a few more problems.
Sayonara Salvatore (sp?) - When the cutscene where they exit Luigi's club starts, all I see is a flashing screen.

On the mission where you have to chase the guy in the speed boat, his boat becomes a flat,2d, square. It made it difficult to see what I was shooting.

Pay Day for Ray - Sometimes it wouldn't go into a cut scene when I stood infront of the phone.

I just downloaded the mod today, and when I try to start the game it has the GTA LC loading screen and then it says this:

You have to have the disc in to start the game anyway, so I don't know why it says this. Does anyone know what to do?

Did you download the mod with the latest installer (beta 2 v5b)? That screen is most likely caused by misplaced audio files. The installer automates that entire process.

Did you completely install VC (meaning are the radio stations on your hard drive)? That's been known to cause problems.

Yes. Well, I didn't at first, but I reinstalled it with the radio, but it still doesn't work.

Okay, next step. Click on the Show Config link. Then click the advanced button. Now go into the audio tab and click the "Verify paths" button. What does that tell you?

Hey boys, you've added a new... let's call it glitch. In font2, the opening exclamation symbol can't be read correctly. For the usual character for that, the ^, ingame shows up as the same (^), instead of the character (Which happens in the other font). Placing the only gets an character. Hope this can be understood.

It says "All files are valid". Now, It shows the GTA LC screen and then I get an unhandled exception. I don't really know what to do now. This is what the exception handler says:
