Can you maybe go into a bit more detail about your mod. Does it replace the current PCJ in LC?

I'm not sure how to fix it, and it's disappointing because LC is supposed to be mod friendly, but sadly, not all mods work.

Unless anyone else has some suggestions for you, perhaps you could PM --Cole-- - he has some know-how about vehicle mods and he might be able to help you solve your problem.

Well, I tried my PCJ, which ironically, I downloaded. And I also tried a Sabre Turbo mod of mine. I'll try just the standard VC file to make sure what the problem is.

EDIT: Well, the ORIGONAL Sabre Turbo works, and so does the PCJ.

The difference? Perhaps there was a fault in MY Sabre and I still had it installed, or the fact that the files I renamed ex. (pcj600BAK.dff) were put in a folder and deleted from the IMG.

I'll do a little more testing...

can you be more specific with you post? or when you start a new game, dont type the "panzer" code, im not sure what u are trying to say.
are you trying to say that the only way it will let you move or do the mission is if you "Fail (by blowing the car up)" then when it restarts the mission you can play it?!?!? huh?

yeyes,the characters just stand there intil i either kill eight ball or flipp the car by using the tank cheat.

I tried the striiped sript and it woarks

Yes, I know Sayonara Salvatore is bugged, but when it reached the time where he's supposed to come out, the screen started to flicker on and off. Is there anyway possible to do the mission?

For starters, I'll back up my topic title with this:

I think this is a really great mod

Now, I've looked around and there isn't a topic stating what else needs doing, so could you tell me here? I'd love to help.

Also, i know I should really be posting this in the Bugs/Glitches topic, but I don't want to post too much >_>,

- Van Heist: The truck doesn't recieve any damage.
- Characters mouths don't move.
- There is no scenery noise. Only cutscene and radio.

As I stated before, I would love to help. So if somebody could catalogue a list of what still needs to be done in here (even minor things), I would happily work my way through 'em.

Well i agree with all of those problems.
those missions are crucial to making this really feel like GTA3
maybe some one can recreate all the PED models and skins so that they use the same skin-stretching technique used in vice city.
also the mouths are a huge sign the game is kind of old, it reminds me of the PS1 games where the heads shake to let you know who is saying what.
another is the some of the buildings still need .col files! is anyone working on this or what?
and I hate the handling for the car you use in the mission where you take the dead body and get the car crushed, the stupid car is so flimsy and top heavy that it rolls over if you look at it wrong!

and also i think that there are other threads for these problems but dont take my word for it, wait till some of the LC admins post here.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the mouths move in the original game. Also, Joey's whole skin is messed up, why?

yea, Joey has a HUGE skin bug which needs to be fixed it looks like part of his shirt is on is neck or something!

a few other problems are:

1. Maria has a huge bone structure problem too, sometimes here lower arms get seperated from her upper arms, same thing goes for here legs.

2. in the mission where you pick all the mafioso guys up in the limo and take them to salvatore for a meeting, Luigis leg is completley seperated and sticks out the bottom of the car.

3. if they cant get the Toni model converted then at least use a PED where the hat doesnt stick a foot out of the roof! dumb chef!

4. i realize the Yardia LOBo has a issue too, when you try to use the hydrolics the car hops up and down 10 feet in the air then it lands on its back! whats up with that?

And another thing that's quite annoying, whenever I get in a car the back lowers and I scrape across the ground for a few seconds.

i have a vey large bug list but its too long and depressing for the LC team because it only reminds them of how much more work this mod needs.

1. i realy like when the cops bump into you in gta3 claude gives them the finger! can someone add that to the mod?

2. the dodo has a few handling problems where it takes forever to take off, im not sure if that has already been fixed because i havent tried to fly it in v5b.

4. the shadows of the trees and train track look sooo fake, can someone maybe make "real" shadows like the ones used in VC?

i cant realy think of any more off the top of my head but they're saved on my computer so ill go though the list

I think the model bugs are somewhat funny- to an extent. It's annoying when you can see the gap between Maria's head and neck.

Alright, now I don't know if this has already been discussed here, but when I load my savefile, there are no PEDS whatsoever.

There's a small list of minor things in the new FAQ topic - check it out and see if there's something you can do to help.

Most of these issues have been discussed before and the "team" is aware of them.

The cutscene animation isn't really happening at the moment because no-one's really sure how to fix it. Yes, the mouths do move in GTA3. I think the only changes being made are new models, but I don't think that'll get rid of the buggy heads.

Ped conversions are a problem at the moment - finally, it looks as though it might be going somewhere if --Cole-- can sort it out.

I don't see anything wrong with the dodo handling - perhaps you just suck at flying it? wink.gif (Just kidding).

Anyway, the "team" are aware of the majority of these minor bugs - their main priority at the moment is sorting out all of the missions and major bugs for v6. That'll probably be Beta2 Final, which'll just leave all of these minor fixes to be made for Beta3 v1, if the mod gets that far. Hopefully it will.

No, I'm pretty sure I've never seen a bug report like that before. You got yourself a whacked version of LC.

Do you still have any other mods installed onto LC? Perhaps they're interfering with it somehow. My only suggestion would be to remove the mods (or make a new copy of LC) and try it unmodded. Good luck.

Currently the PEDS and Actors need fixing and sorting out, the only other major thing we are doing for V6 is rebuilding the IMG, renaming all the models to the same as they were in III, instead of still using the VC names, but thats been handled.

lol.gif ! Practice makes perfect with Dodo flying. It's not too hard - keeping steady is the hardest bit. I've always found that it's easier to fly in LC than in GTA3, but that's probably my imagination. To take off, just get on one of the runways, go straight towards Staunton Island, and hold Num9 (Down) for a while. Let it go, and then gently tap Num6 until you get airborne. Press Num9 to go down, and then Num6 to go back up and level out on a slight uphill climb. You should be able to fly pretty much level now (you might need to tap Num6 if you start heading down, or Num9 if you are climbing too steeply). Be careful turning too - the Dodo turns wide, and I've found that holding Num6 helps keep it up while you turn. Watch out for buildings...

Anyway, hope that helps a bit - keep on practising. A bit off-topic, but I don't care.

As for your bug in Silence the Sneak - you should get a debug output. Just close it, but go into your main LC folder. There should now be a new .txt file in there called gta-lc-scm.txt (or something very similar to that) - open it. It should look like what the debug output window read out - copy and paste it as a new post with a few details of what you were doing, where you were, etc. The team should be able to help out with that info.

By the way, don't worry about the double post - it was hours apart. People normally only get annoyed when it's less than an hour between posts.

Flying the Dodo is much easier in LC than GTA3- or maybe it's just easier on the PC compared to the Xbox. On the Xbox, my record was like 13 seconds airborne, and that was before I cleared the runway. I'd always fall into the water. On LC, however, I got to like 28 seconds and across the ocean after the runway but crashed into a sign so it cut short my flight and fell into the water. confused.gif

Hmm, that is very odd, especially as setli is set local integer and you have neither a local integer defined nor an integer to put in it (34.0625 was, last time I looked, a float) - that is odd, may actually look into that.

ill explain every step of the way...

1. i went to the restroom is bellville park and talked to the guy. (forgot his name but it starts with a R, i think).
2. typed "gettherefast" so i didnt have to search for a car.
3. drove to the alley where the open window is.
4. park the car and walked towards the wall.
5. the game crashes and i get mad because i forgot to save the last mission.

its happend 3 times now, in the same way, it looks like a clip starts or something because the game goes into widescreen, then it crashes!

GTA_Thomas: The problem is not in the setli opcode. The actual opcode that's being executed there (and crashing) is this line:
CODE

I'm guessing the reason it's crashing is you do not have the latest vcopode.asi file. Because I think that mission works for me (I haven't tested it in a while though). You can get the latest vcopcode.asi from here.

Try replacing the vcopcode.asi file and see if the mission works properly (also put the scm_vice.ini file in your root LC directory as well). If you just replace those two files, you will not have to start a new game.
