Don't forget to use the restoration code in my last post above (pressing L1 & up simultaneously for full activation), save, and deactivate before activating the codes in this post. Furthermore, activate and save the Azteca, Rifa, and etc gang war codes one by one. The point: Many codes conflict with each other.

Never mind; read your message. I'll respond here also.

 

The problem with the Mafia, Gang #9 & 10 is they don't have any natural territories. Because of this, you need density implants for the desired zones. Remember to activate the density implant, save, then deactivate it before activating the war codes. If you don't, you might find yourself warring with the gangs dozens of times to no avail. Seeing as these codes are lengthy enough, I decided it'd be best to discard the button press activation settings. What that means is don't worry about pressing L1 + R3, L1 + left, or L1 + right.

 

A heads up regarding the unused Gang #10 war codes: I encountered weird bugs with the NTSC v1 codes. I can't confirm nor deny this for PAL v1 or any other version, just saying to look out for problems before saving is all.

I may be in way over my head here, but are there codes which add in new locations? Heard rumors of their being some but never found them.

 

If anyone can actually find codes like this, I'm using ARMAX (PAL)

I'm not sure what you mean by "new locations." There is no hope of creating new buildings or interiors on PS2. Placing exiting objects in new locations is technically possible, but not practical without a PC version to create templates for modifications. So for all practical purposes, new locations will be limited to interesting ways to access unused or seldom used interiors that already exist in the game.

 

A good place to start on PS2 would be with a hidden interior guide. A favorite hobby for glitch hunters was sneaking out through a soft spot in an interior and jetpacking over to another interior that shared the same heaven, so it'd be solid. I believe a jetpack height limit cheat might be required. I never tried this on PS2, other options were available on PC.

 

Skiller's Code Database: PALNTSC

 

I'm fairly certain I found a database of old codes that provided access to hidden interiors. Skiller's database is the most complete archive of the awesome collaboration when the game was brand new. I'm not seeing what I'm looking for off hand. The NTSC database seems more complete. If you can't find a PAL port for a code then this would be the place to seek conversion. IIRC, these hidden interior codes only worked when the code was active.

 

Cheat Code Creation

 

The creation codes are in a local topic and documents my effort to make save modification codes for PS2 - changes that would stick, usually. Some of the finished codes include strategies for changing the destination of an existing ENEX (yellow markers). The codes are configurable so you can experiment to find your favorite interiors. My favorite tricks are to make shortcuts between two distant points, and armories - extra safehouses with a stockpile of all the best weapons.

 

The creation topic is intended to be bumped after long periods of inactivity. The topic documents a learning process, so there's bound to be some misleading information to start with, but if you read the whole topic you may learn a lot about how to modify and port existing codes. There are lots of examples in multiple formats.

Although NTSC v1, just change the last third letter/number of the address and value to the next letter/number to get the PAL v1 replica. Example:

 

NTSC v1 - 20C9B76C 00C9CFD0
PAL v1 - 20C9B86C 00C9D0D0

 

The first line is the Dillimore police interior address; the second line is the unused police interior value. Do you understand?

Awhile ago, Skills told me I "better learn" because he wasn't going to keep converting codes for me. I feel tempted to say that to you but won't, though I will instruct you and others as to how to do so.

 

Steps:

 

#1: Download Omniconvert. Link:  http://www.herrvilla...om/omniconvert/

 

#2: Open Omniconvert (You'll need a zip opener such as Winrar or ALZip).

 

#3: Set your region (NTSC, PAL) in the options menu. For those who don't know theirs: http://www.bubblevis...om/PAL-NTSC.htm

 

#4: Enter the 4 digit game ID (069C = NTSC v1. 08B0 = NTSC v2. 06A3 = PAL v1. 0A0F = pal V2) in the game ID box. (You need not worry about the game name bar).

 

#5: Set the input as whatever format the code is currently in; set the output as whatever format you want the conversion to be.

 

#6: Click the convert button.

 

Abracadabra!

 

I do enjoy doing conversions for you though.
