Inpired by Yazu, eh? tounge.gif It looks okay, but a bit strange.
Looks better without it, I think smile.gif

Well, I figured I try to learn a little bit with this project.

I actually got inspiration from this:

You don't do a hood for that?

Everything looks awesome, but I must say it would be a million times cooler if you added the proper hood, you could make it optional when installing or something? That way the people who want a hoodless and those who want a hood aren't left out, but it still rocks either way. xmas.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif

I think the car looks way too long without fenders, and it looks like sh*t. Here:

Did a little bit of texture work.

the scorched paint is kinda weird.. wouldnt that only happen if the pipes were pointed at the paint, or if air forced the exhaust gases back toward the door? also, it would be much lighter toward the back of the stain... and it'd have more of an ellipsoid shape.

are you leaving the grille topless and leaving off the headlights?

would be even cooler with further desaturated paint.. and maybe some cracking in the paint behind the exhaust pipes..

red 20's ford wire wheels are hot on these kinda cars too.. and more original than the painted steelies..

Its not really scorched.......just exhaust soot. Yes, it would happen on this type of system too, just as you said if wind was blowing on it.

I do want to do some rust spots, and yes, cracking, but I have no idea how to do that yet. The grill is topless like that because originally the hood comes over the grill, but since theres no hood, no top of the grill.

(I don't mean to sound like an ass with what I just said, I guess I have no other way of wording it atm.)

EDIT:

I really wish some of you would quit asking me to do 2 versons of it. I'm making it how I want it, and if you want to have it the way you want it, then go ahead and change it when its released.

i agree, also this guy is not the person you should tell how a hotrod should look like
he helped me to do a much better version of my 34 hotrod wink.gif

this rod is absolutely fantastic, it has that feeling of old school that i almost start crying biggrin.gif

Just a thought... What if you just ran the top section of the hood and left the right and left sections of the hood off? Maybe model some loovers into the top section and give it a little burst of flame?

Like I said, just a thought. Right now the way it looks kinda throws me a little, it just looks kinda unfinished. But I suppose thats why this is still a WIP topic. tounge.gif
