I've made a beta mod, it 'cleans' some cars, and make them look more like LCS.

Do you reckon its possible that we could incoperate the changing of clothing in LC by going to shops in liberty city and walking over the clothes icon we could get people to make skins for them but i wouldnt know how to put them in the game

can someone help?

There's a new version of Liberty Studios that is now compatible with the v6/v7 releases. It includes some MAJOR code optimizations, a new invisible skin (replaces PLAYERX.txd), a Green Screen map object (toggle-able) created by Johnline and a remove debris command.

You can download the new mod here:

If anyone is hosting this, could you please also leave up version 3.1, for compatibilty with the v5 release of GTA:LC?

Yo, great mods everyone. I was talking to Ben and thought of a great idea. What if a side project was developed alongside the LC Mod? What if it was a community mapping project? To start this we would have to remove everything except for the main land. Then we divide it up, then release it for developers to build lots. Discuss

Forgot to post this here, but a minor update. Fixes include a silly bugfix for the weapon selection, player animations (the player can now use most of the ped animations) and a few other minor details.

3.2 should probably be dumped. Sorry about that. blush.gif

Also, if anyone is using this AND wants to use the Vice Peds as actors (I know, I think I'm the only one doing this, but our story demands it) you MUST replace the ped.ifp with the original VC one - simply backup the LC one somewhere and swap in and out as needed. I had to scrap about 3 hours of work before I realized what was going on (completely my own fault though).

EDIT - The chick_phone.ifp from ViceStudios 2.2 will still work with this if you need it (basically fixes the phone for female peds, but now the male ones will be wonky, so again, swap them as needed).

There is a full-winged Dodo mod, but its only a model, so it still flies like sh*t. Any way to change that?

You could try tweaking some of the values in handling.cfg (in LC\data). Not sure how effective it'd be though confused.gif .

I tried giving it Skimmer's handling, Deadodo's handling.. I tried to increase its acceleration and max. speed but it all didn't work... Maybe original RC Baron handling will work? If so, can someone please give it to me? I got too low space on Hard Drive to install Vice City.. =\

That bit ^ goes in the main part of the handling data

This bit ^ goes right down the bottom of the handling.cfg file (scroll down and you'll see where it has to go).

As you'll have noticed, I've replaced RCBARON with DODO so it will actually work in-game. Again though, I have no idea how it will perform in-game as I haven't tested it. Good luck anyway smile.gif .

The GTA III > LC board was locked, so I hope it's OK to ask here: I'd sure like to see Yoyo's 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for III converted for LC.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Vice's engine could use III's models and textures? So in theory you could put your Bel Air in with no modifications. smile.gif

It's just what I heard, I'll test it in a bit.

I'm in the process of writing a guide that addresses the differences between the III and VC engines from a modding perspective, although I'm not yet up to vehicles.

My understanding of it so far is that you can use the models for vehicles from III in LC without any issues - the only real difference is in the TXDs. GTA3 had reflections for all vehicles stored in particle.txd, whereas LC/VC has them stored individually in each vehicles TXD file. But they should still work directly.

I could be wrong though, and I guess I'll find out for sure when I come to address the vehicles part wink.gif . DexX provided a bit of information on it here recently for those interested.

Christmas is coming and i would like to change pavement, road, park, tree textures to white. unfortunately i don't know the txd names of those in the IMG. I will make a complete list of what i'd like to change later

Not a bad idea, but we've already got a snow mod for LC in the first post, made by NathanHenry . If it's not exactly what you were thinking, it could at least answer your question about the textures, etc. smile.gif

Can someone make a Player Position indicator like Steve-M's for LC? It seems to only work with the regular Vice City ... or is there already something like this and I've been too lazy too search?
