Some of the ideas are good, but fitting them into the storyline is another matter. Kon's already pretty much disproved the dog food factory, and Y_Less has disproved the uni and the dam, silver's already done (though not completely) Marco's Bistro, so that just leaves me to disprove the other two:
1. The church - sure, you could have interiors, but I think that potentially bringing religion into a game like Grand Theft Auto is not a wise move. And besides, no-one would sell you the church, and you can't make revenue from it.
2. Kenji's Casino - fair enough, you could buy it, but now you're left with only one asset property, which defeats the whole purpose of this in the first place.

Another idea is to have Claude take over Love Media and earn revenue that way - but, he wouldn't have to pay for it since Love "disappears" and money is pointless in GTA3 already. There'd have to be a whole lot of work just to get this thing off the ground - what's the point in earning money if you've got nothing to spend it on? You're basically going to have to re-write the storyline, which, in the end, may transpire to you starting a-whole-nother mod to implement your ideas.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that people can think of new and innovative ways to mod LC - but we have to be realistic about these sorts of things tounge.gif .

i do think that it is worth a try though. i mean whats the harm?

i have already added little features like storing more cars in the garages, teargas, realistic rewards,


nos (you have to fill it up by pressing the horn key at the pay'n'spray) tab to use it... i am trying to give it three levels that you can buy 1:Dry Boost 2:Wet Boost 3:Direct Port.

so maybe i could do more for myself but the nos mod is not working yet....

i could make it so that you inherit salvatore's mansion and catalina's mansion and have the columbian cartel become your gang

i probally will do the casino rahkstar2.gif n.e 1 want 2 help just post me

I actually didn't know that, hmm, but I have never completed his missions as there seems to be a glitch in my GTA 3 game, only one of the people you go to pick up for him ever get in my car, and I haven't tried it on LC yet.

Hmmm, I haven't added that question to the FAQ yet - I'll do that in a sec.

In the meantime, I'll answer your question:
You can get one from here . But, this will only work with v5b unless it uses model ID#s and not names. For v6test, there isn't one, but the team may look into making one after the public release of v6.

I like some of the assets/property ideas, and some more ideas that might be suitable, as well as other things that could be used as rewards:

• Mean Street/Borgnine Taxi's - becomes available to buy after doing 100 Taxi missions
• Easy Credit Auto's - becomes available to buy after completing the Import/Export lists (the reward for those seemed pretty pointless, I only ever used it to make more cash getting securicar's cracked at Portland docks). Similar to Sunshine Auto's it could have it's own list that rewards you with (VC?) cars being added to the showroom and it would also be cool to put in a few street races to be accessed there (including bike ones)
• Salvatorre's mansion (expanded slightly) - becomes save point with Yakuza gang cars after Sayona Salvatorre and gang territories changed to have Yakuza fighting the Mafia in the streets around it like the Mafia do with the Triads.
• Kenji's Casino - would have to buy this as an asset after Waka Gashira Wipeout, as to just be awarded it would seem to make it too obvious to the Yakuza that Claude whacked Kenji.. would be cool to have the sign change to Claude's Casino
• Catalina's Mansion - similar to Salvatorre's Mansion, but with a Maverick in the garden, unlocked after The Exchange. Maybe the Columbians could become allies because you whacked Catalina, and you generate cash there from Spank sales... (maybe the Columbians selling Spank at the coffee stands could appear permanently afterward that mission, from which you could also buy health/adrenaline by walking into a small mission marker)
• Motorbike delivery missions - e.g. for restaurents, like the Pizzaboy missions or similar to the Hippy Shopper mission in SA, could aquire assets that way, e.g. for BJ's groceries (in Staunton under the ramp for the lift bridge, perhaps unlocked after doing the protection mission for Kenji)
• Robberies: Perhaps available after The Getaway - would need more work than most due to need for a few interiors, e.g for banks, or restaurants (anyone fancy ripping off Marco's Bistro, or perhaps places like the newspaper stand where you have to shoot the Triad guy)
• Changes of clothes available at clothes shops, or maybe at hideouts
• Skimmer and Sea Sparrow spawn at the airport at 100% completion
• PolMav unlocked at Staunton PD building after Vigilante level 12 reached - possibly have Police Uniform appear at the top of the building or something too, perhaps with VC weapon spawns at 100%/100 items/whatever there too
• Brown Thunder missions
• Parked Sanchez' next to the Patriot and Landstalker checkpoint missions, each bike to appear after that mission is completed/ability to do Multistorey Mayhem on a PCJ once it's been done in the Stallion
• Parked location for a Packer, maybe near the Pay N Spray in SSV, when all insane stunts are completed
• Ammunation could have the VC shooting gallery/target practice missions
• Add VC weapon pickups to Ammunation after completing the new Ammunation missions and Phil's weapons after Arms Shortage
• Buy food for health like in VC from shops.
• Valet parking mission at the AM building in Staunton using the underground car park a la San Andreas (if thats even possible?)
• Gang-war style rampage missions, unlocked after The Exchange and 3 visible phone mission sets are complete, one for each gang, objective to kill a certain number of gang members (e.g. 100, and getting more difficult for each gang) with each gang being replaced with the Yakuza

Additional properties to buy - apartment at Misty's block, garage/lockup (perhaps with no save point) at the Docks, maybe a few down from the securicar cracking place, apartment with garages near the witness protection louse/multi-storey car park, available to buy after Sayonara Salvatorre or The Exchange

Finally, properties/assets that you can buy should be quite expensive, therefore earning money from them would be worthwhile.

Hopefully those suggestions aren't too far fetched and shouldn't interfere with the plot..

Wow - what a great list of suggestions. I'd be happy to have a play around with those in-game once they got completed.

And don't worry about straying too far off the storyline - that's why they're unofficial mods - you can do what you want with them wink.gif .

Well, I deliberately made them as non-interfering with the plot as possible so as to have the potential to be official later tounge2.gif

One additional minor thing might be to make a new save pickup to replace the tape, like SA had a disk, but maybe with a USB pen drive icon instead to be more 2001-ish...

I've just played through the Marty Chonks missions again, and reckon that once the mission 'Her Lover' is completed, the Bitch N Dog Food factory could become an asset, but only unlocked if you kill "Carl"

icon14.gif i have been trying for days to try and get bartons mission builder working on the lc script but i keep on getting an error when it is decompiling mission 36 i am currently using ver 1.5 n,e help?

I think you need to place the vicescm.ini file from this archive containing all of the latest SCM stuff in your MB folder..

Silver - Do you know what files need to be replaced in the v6test files for your vice cheetah mod as vicechee.txd/dff don't appear in the new IMG file? Also, I'm guessing that Marco's Bistro won't work in v6test - Y_Less - I suspect you amended the v5b SCM, and not the v6test one yet, is that right?

Ammended with what? The crane code was released separately so you can stick it on either.

And yes, that OpCode is WAAAY out of range! Even SA doesn't have OpCodes that high, I don't know what's going on there. Why don't you just use the decompiled script that comes in the download bloodyskies gave you instead of making your own.

i Believe the .scm i included in the download is a v5b .scm with the code inserted, however there is a .txt file that comes with the mod with Y_less's code so you can insert the code yourself if you wanted it in a v6 .scm

The Bistro works in v6 fine, there was no changes to the map files placements, therefore theres no reason why it shouldn't work.

I Believe what happened in v6test was the vicecheetah was removed, and the default.ide line was changed the load the enforcer... ill have to check it out for you

thats what the line was changed to.... simply add the vicechee.txd/dff to the IMG anyway.. then replace that line with the vice cheetah default.ide line
same goes for the carcols.dat line, change the enforce2 line back to the vicechee line

EDIT2: ive just re-uploaded a updated RAR file of the GTA3 FBI cheetah to my Fileplanet and acedensece.net links which now contains new instructions for installing in v6test

Are you using MB 1.5 - the version linked to in the first post of this topic? It's specially customised for LC - if you don't have it, that might be why you're having problems.

I find other car spawner which is allso trainer and that supports GTA:LC( IT΄S NOT OFFICAL GTA:LC TRAINER!!! ) You can allso change police weapons, change car colors, etc... U can download it here: http://members.lycos...erred/stuff.htm

Back tracking slightly.. I re-read the posts about the Church.. what a missed opportunity! GTA has always revelled in controversy, so here's a mission suggestion for ya:

Upon entering the Church interior, at a defined time of day (say 11am-midday), maybe once every 7 day/night cycles, a service is going on (cue public domain organ music with choir, I can obtain appropriate material!).. collection goes round, everyone leaves. In order to complete the mission, you have to go out to the Vestry, cap the priest recanting the story of Sodam and Gomora to an alter boy in a distinctly non-King James approved Bible fashion, do over a nice old dear with a blue rinse for the collection money from the service (maybe the collection plate could be marked 'Roof Fund'), before making off in Romero's Hearse parked at the rear..

Just a thought..

This sort of freestyle, totally-out-of-place modding might fit into Myriad islands, but not LC. Not even as an unofficial mod.

Just a side remark - there actually IS a church joke in the GTA series. In SA, one of the Jizzy B mission, you chase down a preacher with a hooker in car : "Get in the car and remove your filthy vestments, so I my better gaze upon thine corruption!"

Alrighty then - I've compiled this list of stuff that got rejected from the official version from the poll that people might like to make and release unofficially. Enjoy!
  • Clothes pickups
    Whatever sort of outfits you want - a popular choice was the prison outfit Claude wears at the start of the game. Another popular one was "Mr Claude" so he can go into the casino.
  • Stores to rob
    Firstly, the interiors for these have to be made. --Cole-- suggested making the stores on Staunton available to rob. Use your imagination!
    Perhaps even tool shops - you could buy some VC weapons then.
    A bank to rob?
    Some cafes - these could double as places to eat and "refuel" your health
  • SCM modifications
    Again, something creative. This could be anything from making a helicopter spawn at the start of the game, to changing the storyline completely, although that might be going a bit far in this case
  • Asset properties
    Something else to think about - how to write these into the storyline. Perhaps a combination of mods might be the go.
    Popular choices were Kenji's casino, Salvatore's mansion, Catalina's mansion, Asuka's condo, etc. Again, be creative wink.gif !
    Another idea was some extra garages around the city - Salvatore's mansion, Ray's lockup, Love's place, etc.
  • Bodyguards
    Let's see if they can be smarter than the VC ones... tounge.gif
And that's about it - that should keep some people busy for a while. wink.gif

ha! i did not think my crazy bodygaurd idea would even make it on the unofficial list! I agree the VC ones were so stupid, maybe thats why they supplied you with three. TimBot was cool, almost another controllable charactor, 2 at a time. I have no idea how to fit in the asset properties. In LCS (damn ive got to quit comparing LC To LCS) the asset properties are just places that pay "protection", you didnt have to buy them. but seeing as how claude is not in a gang, this would not work. the clothes pickups would work, i dont know how to model Player models but someone must know how. stores to rob would be cool too, cole was being very imaginative latlely. So i say thumbs up on all those ideas! icon14.gif
