Here are 2 bugs that happened to me while trying to get a two time date on a starter save in restricted territory

Firstly, as i took he girl home, i stopped in he pink marker just as a cop threw me out. There was a cutscene with Michelle and i got busted at the same time. When i spawned at the police station, it was still in cutscene mode. THere was no HUD ( no money, weapon icon etc etc) and when i aimed no crosshair

I couldnt even press start and pause. It didnt go away till i turned off my PS3

The second is similar. I did trigger a two time date but it was just as my car caught fire. The cutscene came where the girl first sees you and pulls the fingers, but as this scene was triggered my car blew up and the scene didnt goa way. The camera stayed on her and she just drove around. i could see myself moving on the radar as well, and my health was going down even though i had just been blown up. It then froze.

you know what guys first i had the gta san andreas with real vehicles and somewhere near the san fierro coast there is a
SUBMARINE IN THE WATER WHICH YOU CAN ACTUALLY DRIVE! wow.gif wow.gif wow.gif wow.gif wow.gif wow.gif wow.gif . it is the coast inwards and not outwards. smile.gif smile.gif

I found an easier method:If you havent completed all the missions or races,do one of them.Then,get to a safehouse.Save the game,but dont overwirite the glitched savegame.Save in another save file.After that,load that savegame.You can now workout.
I think this method will work,because it worked on me.
I havent made this up.I have tried it.

Flying savegames: Above that motel (that orange [ shaped building) use CRAZY TRAINER +151 and fly as higher as you can. There are LOOOTS of save game diskets flying in the middle of the air! I never belived this thing is possible!

That would only work for a select few, as the Patch is for V1 ONLY-there is NO Patch for V2/V3(the Legal Download version)...Since V2 came out in June 2005, this is the version pretty much everyone has(since V1 was not sold very long-since the PC version came out in 2005, yet V2 came out in June of the same year)..?

Also, HMvartak has a simple fix by just uploading the affected save, selecting the fix needed and re downloading the save. Also, the Save Editor has a option to fix those problems as well. These work for ALL 3 Versions of the game. Just a friendly heads up. smile.gif

The Gym Glitch Explained

"You have worked out enough for today, come back tomorrow!"

If this message is displayed every time CJ tries to workout, even when he returns the next day, then you've got the Gym Glitch.

The Gym Glitch can be avoided completely if CJ never exceeds the daily workout limit on that save.

When CJ exceeds the daily limit the current in-game month and day is recorded. Usually when CJ returns the next day or later the current month or current day will be greater than the exceeded month or day and he will be allowed to use the gym equipment. However...

There is no in-game year. When enough time has passed the current month will rollover back to 1. So let say that CJ last exceeded the daily limit on the 14th day of May. After the new year he will not be able to workout for the first two weeks of every month until June finally rolls around.

But there's a catch. There is no in-game method to determine the current month and day. The sum of all game days and safehouse visits is hardly even close. The best I can do is suggest to start checking for the glitch sometime after 200 game days, but that depends a lot of how often the game is saved.

The effects of the gym glitch can be mitigated by saving (which advances the calendar by 1 day) or by rolling over the clock past midnight until he can finally workout again. Then intentionally exceed the daily limit. This will set the exceeded date to the current date and CJ can work out normally again, until next year when you'll need to go through this process again.

Or better yet, wait until the last day of the month and start to work out. Wait until the clock rolls over and exceed the limit on the first day of a new month. Then the glitch will only be in effect next year on the first day of the early months. A player can determine the 1st day of the month because on the previous day CJ could work out but now he can't. Work between 2 saves and load the previous save when necessary.

Or even better, wait until new years eve to start working out and exceed the limit on new years day. Then if CJ never exceeds the limit again the glitch will only be noticed on new years day of each year. If the player carefully tracked each and every day for several months it might be possible to determine the current month based on a leap year calendar.

What can you do about the gym glitch?

If the glitch isn't very severe (March 5th) then don't do anything which might make it worse (December 31st).

On PS2, if you have AR-Max or similar cheat device software the glitch can be repaired with cheat device codes.

On backwards compatible PS3s it's possible to export the save to a PC, extract the save data, and use a save editor to examine the current month and day.

PSN users are out of luck. It's easy enough to export the save but it's encrypted, so unless someone figures out a way to decrypt the data there's no way to learn the date or fix anything.

PC players can use the repair tools linked below to reset the exceeded date. These tools will not work properly on PS2 saves because the global variables are different.

What if your savefile is too advanced and you don't want to restart it?

in your case an "advanced" save file, is a save file with xx times wasted

at the middle of the page is "Modifications" clicking there should have possible "cures" for many problems.

And, then you can download the adjusted save, to try. Download to a different save slot

Ways of fixing the gym glitch. (NOTE: I've not tried this yet so it's unconfirmed.)
1. Go to the nearest Safe House and save the game 6 times (thus skipping some days)
2. Go to the nearest Fast Food Restaurant and eat as much as possible
- get CJ quite fat
3. Completely change CJ's appearance - clothes, haircut, and tattoos.

Is this confirmed yet? It's been 13 years :D.

If this strategy works for you then it's a fluke and only temporary. We know now how and why this glitch occurs; it's related to the in-game calendar system - data that is not visible without poking through save data with an editor. When CJ exceed the daily workout limit the current month and day are recorded so CJ can't work out again until either the month or day is greater than the date recorded. This work well until the next calendar year when the month rolls over to 1/1 again. The glitch might effect only the first few days of the first few months, so strategies that advance the date sometimes work, other times not, and the confusing observations have led to a lot of superstitions over the years.

 

Avoid the glitch by never exceeding the daily workout limit. If you want to workout a lot then leave the gym and immediately return.

 

You can mitigate the damage by working out on the last day of the month and letting the clock roll over to the next day before exceeding the limit.

 

GTASnP's modifications tool can fix the glitch.

Why would it not work? The glitch happens because the game checks whether or not the current time is before or after the date CJ hit the workout limit, right? So if you just keep saving until you get past that date, you should be able to work out again, right?

 

Also, is hitting the workout limit just a ticking time bomb? So if I hit the workout limit even once, am I 100% guaranteed to have this glitch happen to me, since the game will remember the date I hit it?

 

And what actually is the workout limit? How do I know when to stop working out to avoid hitting the limit?

If the limit was hit on 12/31 then there's nothing to be done short of fix the glitch with an editor. If you don't understand how the glitch works and can't see the current or recorded month and day the effect of save strategies may appear random. 

 

Yeah, the limit is a time bomb, but the risk isn't all that severe. Few players these days put in enough time to reach a 2nd year. And too much time on the clock leads to nasty traffic glitches. Most game play strategies these days urge efficiency so the gym glitch isn't really a horrible disaster waiting to happen.

 

Sorry, I forget the workout limit details. The coding has a bunch of workout points that accumulate more quickly if a higher level is set. You can't see the data so the value doesn't help, and time or rep estimates will vary by level. My strategy was to save, workout until I hit the limit, then reload and stay safely below that level. The strategy kinda sucks as CJ becomes stronger and I need to recalibrate for higher levels.
