well souls i partly right yes right now to get a jump on modign for sa we are using vice city as vice city is out for pc and san nadreas with moddign tools is not. but a part of it is also that we have been gettign requests by people who can neither afford san nadreas nore coudl they run it on their out dated rigs so for them were lookign at doign a dula release of most of our models (obviously the armored tanker trailer won't work in vice city.) but hwere all working very hard to make this mod as closed to perfect as we can as most of us are rabbid fans of the series (somehwat barring thunderdome.)

so thanks professior it makes our teams struggle and toil that much more rewardign to see that it is well liked for our meger efforts to emulate 2 of the greatest car movies of all time. but a big thanks goes to soul who has shined the last two models you have seen being completed. without his skill these models would not look as accurate since a model can only go so far in a game egine without a good skin to support it. and to choofa for soem of the beta testing as wel las andy.


so thanks to the fan for the support so far we have much more to go but as i aways say since it's always true work continues.

If you read T-808's post you would see that we are going to be releasing most of our models for vice city too for ppl you can either a) cant offred SA b)cant get the game to run on their Pc's.. So we whont be dropping the VC versions once the Comes out on the pc

Yes well T-808 is off on vacation so Its up to the rest of his motley crew ta keep the torch burning for the RW mod...
ANYWAY New project on the way CH00FAs monaro... so far Im consentrating on the chassis then the other bits, parts like the headlights etc is what ch00fas already done... Please let us know what ya think....

Soul I know you the texture guy on board, but I really really would suggest another badge. Things are starting to get really a bit fugly with the current T_T

Personally I like to use this un, obviously it should say Main Force Patrol rather than some dumb sh*t's name, but you get me/the proper one still does. I can send shiz like this via whoever if need be.

Yeah there are a million versions of the badge around the place, but to be frank they pretty much all look like sh*t, even/especially some of the fan sold repro's (sorry guys but it's hard to deny). I stumbled across the bronze one and figured I would have to be blind or on harder drugs than I generally consume to use a different one. Also the fact it originally said "Uphold right!" in engrish insead of "Main Force Patrol" that sealed the deal. I rewrote it correct since, it's somewhere. It's present if required, zat is all biggrin.gif

Sorry ta keep bumping this topic but it seem ta be the only way to get my prgress pics noticed.. ANWAY
been doing a bit more to the monaro its getting there, well the main chassis is anyway theres just the rest of it ta do once this parts done.. Im having problems with the badge tho... Ive added some faces to the rear side pannels to map the bage onto only I am Fugglin useless at nomalising (Im such a noob at this kinda thing) soo Choofa!, I shall be sending this car back to you ta do soon if thats ok?? Anyway pics....

duuude, how did you do that texture job? wow.gif awsome! with the normals I will do them when you send the car back to me, I will be leaving for my holiday on either saturday arfternoon or sunday at the latest, I might be able to get to the internet on my holiday so I can check my emails (I will have so many cryani.gif ) and yeah, I will be able to get it by either then or if you send it earlyer than when I leave smile.gif but for now it seems that you are the leader of the crew and have alot of work ahead of you, I am working on the Road Warrer monaro too (red monaro) I will get that + some maps done when I am away hopefully smile.gif .

pretty much everything for SanAn has already been hacked. though were still having trouble getting textures into the game. but i think that give it another few weeks guys and we can start testing in SanAn. and then my job starts. cool.gif

just poping in to see what's goign on looks great so far guys looks foraward to seeing that bad boy on the road. anyways thanks for the heads up there neok we look forward to you gettign the red xa and many others into san andreas.

nice to get away goign out for another week here in a few days still ironicaly i can play neither vice city nore san andreas so beta testers have the luckiest job so far they get to test the fruit of my labors. well anyways good job so far guys in my absence keep it up and i'll see you in around about a week.

not sure what you mean derecalator...but i'll answer it to the best of my ability. if you mean is the car an existing model in san andreas only being reskined for mad max no.

this was a model orginaly done by c.j. aka quicksilver,then handed off to me to finsih but i was too busy with a hundred other max and road warrior vehicles that in the end it was handed off to the ever talented choofa to finish it off and finish it he did.

now soul couragous is skinign the model but the model itself is scratch built 100% fact so far 90% of our models are sctrach built so far from the ground up any models we have used to cut the work down have also been scracth made models by very talented but very busy people.

hope that answeres yoru question for now any others are welcome to ask as well as for me team leader i'm off on the last week of my much needed vacation but when i get back it's hit them fast and hit them hard on the models i will have a little more time as my son is off with him mum for summer vacation.

it's okay derecalator good question by the way. the basic answer is that we have no player models yet outside of a few done by soul couragous for vice city we will not have many if any actualy characters from the movie without the help of a cheracter modeler to be honest.

we'll do our best a few peds will aid in some betas and the motorcycle cops will likely be great canidates for the "bad cop" model but i wouldn't expect and max or humungus model for a while were still jsut gettign by on vehicles roght now.

as we are known for more setbacks have set in in the skinnign department but not really the fault of either party. so basiclay i'll be chucking along on as many models as i an handel at the time being but without someone to help us skin i'm afraid were sorta of dead in the water at the moment. but not to worry will be our best as we always have and get some of these cars anf trucks out to you all real soon. till then.

i know i know no updates for a while seems dead oh whao is the mad max and road warrior porject. well no no and no ...just got over a repetitive strain injury which has not been fun and that was the mildest of one of the worst weeks i have had in recent history but no this is not where i tell you my hard drive died out and the entire project is lost nope not yet thank god. (i'm atheiest so my last statement was not an endorsment of religion merely habit.)

anyways so why the hell am i even writing when it seem i have nothing to say??? well smarty pants i do have some good news and it has nothing to do with my car insurence. i got hold of some production shots of the humungus truck and see that the engine is a bit longer and has an off wedge shaped cover so that is my first priority. next is the most important so far.

one of the multi theft auto's is being built on something called the blue network or blue technology...not sure the tech name just know is has blue in the title anyways why should you give a rats ass about it simple...blue whatever supports modding in multiplayer thus one more peice of the puzzel is in, it means i think up to 16 of you lucky fans can log in mod the right vehicles and have an old fasion take the rig final chase reenactment.

that's all for now outside of skinnign troubles still abound but were doing our damn best here when no one would help us. more model shots as things get done.

well now things may final come to some san andreas releases with a corrisponding vice city release seems kam just posted an exported for 3d studio max to go with his importer. have not had the time to test either but if kam is telling the truth about it working in as far back as max 4.5 then my version 5 should,in theory work.

first up will be the red xa then we move onto the wez bike and so on and so on till our finished working models are out there skinning may still be an issue but for now we have the advantage of now being able to convert over the cars we have done thus far.

as for when everything done will be released patience ,got to test these cars and make sure that my importer/exporter for sa works right then we move on to being able to say for sure if and when files wil come online for the fans who have so eagerly waited for most of these.

also anyone who has played those casino levels where you drive a guy around tied to your hood were looking into what goes into that hoprfuly we can make the lord humugns prisoners squirm

more news as it becomes available but like i said when we release a vheicle it shall be dual released for those oh us who can only play or afford vice city. so rejoice were that much closer to a few releases.

sorry for the double posts but i figured an update was in order not too much to report work goes slow but were having techinqual problems with the importer for san andreas models (not kams fault probably doing somethign stupid.). but going to try to get the .col file from vice city so we can put it with the red xa and get her out there as a replacemnet for the clover...why the clover you may ask well because the clover is used in the mission "tanker commander" and if you going to steal a tanker full of gas with the armored mack truck well then wee need the red xa raming it for most of the mission before we ram it to peices.

plus clovers are in los santos here and there woudl be great to steal one right off the bat....no pun intended.

HEY HEY.. Sorry for causing probs but as My comrades know Ive been having a few "problems" just latley but I HAVE got a small little update for yas.. was hoping to have this done tonight but the kids have been playing up so all ive been able ta do is the bumpers bonnet and boot.. and done a new badge for the side.. the textures arnt my best but like i said my kids have been little Monsters tonight... enjoy the pics tho guys... and sorry for the long wait. confused.gif

well funny story truns out i was doing something stupid and not running the scripts own plugins hah ha ha silly me. anyways long story short i can now say that as off later today i will be workign on our first conversion. the red xa ---> clover i have the vice city .col file that surved us so well in vice city this shoudl aid us in takign over this fithy human infested san andreas. all that is really left to do is to change over the dummys of the red xa,remove the side fender damageand rename the ok front fenders something else. been playing with the exporter seeign what an sa model says it needs to properly export then reimportign that newly exported file so far all trails work with the proper .col file.

i can't promice you great textures the likes of which would be so beautiful your eyeballs would implode. but i think soul did great on the two versions of the car and we shall see soemthing that we hope will be movie worthy.

as for screen shots i'll leave that to beta tester/tech crew as i reitterate for the umtenth time i have no workign card can bearly use max blah blah blah can't play san andreas at all thought i own a copy as we speak and did install to extract the img files and then deleted it.

aslo on the hunt for the motorcycle cops it may be a long time before we can put theb ad cop i will make into sa but it means you vice citiers shoudl have a treat since the new importer seems to have bone rigging built in. it's just a matter of finding that cop and then only a few modifications will be needed and the nmuahahahahaha mauraders on the highways were all doomed ain't it great.

so that's the big news improters work yada yada yadda work to convert finised models yada yada yada more news and hopefuly pictures within the next 3 days. besure to tip kam he worked hard on the importer that will start to make road warrior/mad max san andreas/vice city happen.

now for those wondering we are not releasign the vice city models we have done until the san andreas models are done that we everyone gets it at the same time.

looking good choofa and soul the main thing i needed to get done is done so now i can really start going head on with things i think i about have this new sa dummy thing worked out. for those who do not know the dummys have a few additions this time around things like "headlights2" "exhaust ok" and one or two others that make me wonder how i might place some of the dummys.

other then that i have the .col file from vice city if that doesn't work well in game then i'll use the colvers natural .col file instead either way that should solve that part of the conversion.

from what i get done san andreas testing will begin soon if i can truely convert correctly then the other 3-4 vehicles will be converted and those who have been wating will finaly get to drive ganjcias master peices big bopper and max's yellow,blue and red interceptor.

as said in earlier posts i'm giving augh the chance to finsih his mad max interceptor and using ganjicias interceptor to make the road warrior version which both i and quicksilver put together,but if augh is not wanting to do the interceptor anymore then i will convert over ganjcias interceptor,besides augh already contributed to one of our most popular cars so far the red xa bat "rocky" car and as i always said credit where credit be due.

so cars a coming soon tech crew and beta testers i hope you are ready. monocle.gif

well the setups in SanAn are a lot different then before, but once you guys get a model ready for SanAn i'm confident i can get a handling done for it. already got the editors and such. shouldn't be to hard. (^_^)

well i have to go save my son from my another one of my ex's horribly failed summer vacation visitations so i will be gone for the next 4 days. but i have news and some progress.

first the progress. i have extracted the sa dummys from the clover...still alot i don't know yet so it will be a big experiemnt when i get back.
deleted the side damaged front wings on the red xa and joined it together with the chassi as they are all one in san andreas. now to figure out the dummys. also got the saberturbo .col file ready to use for the .col file if that don't work then we'll just use the clovers own .col file and yes i have renamed the sabterturbo.col file to that of the clover. the rest is figuing out basicaly where the dummys all go.

new model started as this has been a horrible day i have shots of the work i did on the tanker trailer thus far. it included detatching surgaicaly the top box and deleting it. detatching the ladder from the side and adding it to the back,creating a whole new top area plus the 4 lid covers,detatched most of the mesh into peices,extended both the axel housing and the wheel covers to fit 3 wheels not 2 (study raod warrior you'll see what i mean.) and cloned the axel to make 3 axels.

still to do to have the trailer ready

1. figure out how to dummy a 3rd axel
2. figured out how to do the mesh screen that went over the 4 covers on top
3. make the armor including barbed wire and the top spiky spires
4. figure out what make and model back end was monunted to the back of the trailer and model it (no it was not a 57 chevy either likely a de soto)
5. redo the back wheel covers to those made at that time and then armor them as well
6. do the hose that came ot the bottom of the tanker where the sand came out of
7. figure out if that trailers slimmer front end is correct and or neccesary
8. finish fixing the bottom of the trailer and get it sa ready and up to our skinner
9. final check and beta testing.

here is a look at the work on it so far still getting screenshots from the movie together to make sure it is all right.
