what do I mean about what? Please don't tell me you don't understand about a group of people idling standing in the middle of the road.

If you mean the gangs. I saw the all VC gangs. I saw Haitan where Triads should be. Cubans inplace of the Mafia. Bikers inplace of the Cartel. Some other group of guys inplace of the Purple9s.
Everything was GTA3 but for the people. Even the cops were dressed like VC cops.

The VC Gangs are there just because you never installed the ped package that made all gangs GTA3 as well as the cops. But you might as well wait for the 2nd release of the LC Mod.

I downloaded and ran the installer from the Nov 17 release found here if it wasn't in there and not part of the setup's installer then now it didn't get installed.

That file is simply a beta v1 link. It was just added after so I knew it's link was active. There've been a lot of changes since beta v1, and we're very close to releasing beta v2. So soon you'll be able to download one file and have an up-to-date GTA:LC.

Ok that's fine, I can deal with it until v2.

I know this ain't the right place to ask, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
Will v2 be able to install on top of v1 or will v2 require a fresh game to install in to?

It simply replaces the necessary files. So it'll work over an existing VC or LC copy.

confused.gif is that pic wit the bike in it from the real GTA3 mod? or did u just do it urself cause as far as i know there are no bikes in GTA liberty city :S

There are NO bikes in GTA3.
They are bikes in GTALC.

Noticed a few things playing today that I haven't seen posted here...

The guy at Luigi's club who reads you his note in the Don't Spank My Bitch Up mission is a member of Love Fist (probably just a model/texture thing, and not a proper "bug." Same prob with Asuka, but with Candy Suxx model, and Kenji, who appears to be a fast food guy.

Misty appears to be somewhat lacking in colour on the second mission for Luigi.

I vaugley remember that in the Fuzz Ball mission in GTA3, there was a van near by when you start the mission, or you're immediately put in one on starting.

In Turismo, you can shoot out the other racers tyres, but in GTA3 the cars are completely indestructible. I think there must be a way round this, as I checked in Vice City and in the races at Sunshine Auto's the race starts if you try to shoot the tyres, but they don't burst.

Again, this isn't a proper bug, but in I Scream, You Scream, you can kill the mafia guys by shooting them and drive off in the icecream van, and I don't think you can do this in GTA3.

In Big N Veiny, the van you're supposed to follow doesn't appear, so you can't complete the mission

In Last Requests, the car you're supposed to pick up (and die in) is a Cheetah, but I'm pretty sure in GTA 3 it's a Perennial. Also, when I arrived at the boat (on a PCJ) and drive into the marker, the cut scene showed Claude on the dock talking to Maria and Asuka (Candy Suxx char model) but he was also visble on the top of the boat crouching like he's riding a motorbike!

Those are temporary models since you need to convert stuff. Big n Veiny just go to the docks if you know how to do that mission. Unpoppable tires seems like a good idea. All other things are nothing.

The Fuzz Ball allowed you to use whatever vehicle you wanted to (even a bus). You were not put inside a van in GTA3 as I recall.

I can easily make the other cars' tires indestructible. And that's the way that mission should be. Thanks for pointing that out.

You could do it either way in GTA3. In fact that's the only easy way to deliver the Ice Cream van to the IE garage as it's pretty rare to find in traffic.

Big 'N' Veiny's code is incomplete. The way it was coded in GTA3 was there was a single line of code that created 104 pickups across the city. Each pickup increased your time by a few seconds. Coding that manually would probably be 2,000 lines of scm code. We may be able to implement this with our launcher in the future. Until then to pass the mission, just drive to the docks. The Bullion Run mission is in a similar state, but since that's a middle mission, we're just skipping it until we can figure it out.

It was a cheetah in GTA3. I didn't change that code for which car it was at all. There is a Perennial parked car down the block which you may be confusing this with.

Also, found a prob with Kenji's GTA mission, it doesn't seem to register if you put a car in there (even though it tells me to get out and walk away) - it often doesn't close the garage door, and if it does, the is still there when it opens again, even if you put all three in at one.. pic at http://www.bloodyski...uk/KenjiGTA.jpg

It looks like I messed up a little bit of the conversion with the taxi missions. In the next few days I redo that section of code and update it. Thanks for mentioning it because I did forget about it.

They were released by Silver007 and he allowed me to include them as a cool Easter egg. The General Lee was updated a little bit by kicsivocsok. Right now the only way uou can get that specific General Lee model is by installing the beta 2 test files.

The horn and flying codes were my doing though. If you don't know what I'm talking about, press the sub-mission button when you're in each of the cars.
