Roger1079 and I have just finished doing all of the unused HUD icons at this point.
We can redo a couple depending on the final decision for weapon slots.

By the Way,the line for the M16 in M4slot has already been done,you can look earlier in this thread ,there are also downloads of nearly all of GTA3s weapons
and for the lawenforcements,the Soldiers using the M4 were a GANG defined in the main.scm,the ones in the tank hold MP5s and were the "real" law enforcement smile.gif

erm, is it normal that there is dual UZIs? There should be only the GTA3 version, not both....

also, what about the tools? hammer, screwdriver/machette, etc. ?

but in general it looks really good wink.gif

He didn't do the other tools because Bat, Baton, Katana, and Chainsaw are the only weapons you could get a hold of without the code paving the way for it.

and i hope my m16code is in,as it was done long before,I don't want the M16 have 30 shot but kill a car with 1
the m16 in gta3 had a 60rd mag and needed 6 shot,wasn it ?

I used the values from the GTAIII weapons.dat, as appropriate.
It seemed to match pretty well.

In mine I left all the Vice City weapons alone, because it had been decided to just make a different coloured HUD to show the weapons weren't LC weapons.
Plus, only the LC weapons are spawned in-game, so you'd only get GTAIII weapons by cheating.

The weapons that are being used for the GTAIII replacements have the stats of the GTAIII counterparts, and the night-stick has beenb replaced with the fist.
The other weapons are unchanged, as they don't need to be changed.

I also tried the line of gta3 for the m16 and it was even weaker than the m4 for me,I don't think that a direct port of the gta3weapons (taking same lines) does work tounge.gif confused.gif

Nice job with the new weapons data, Einstein. It looks like you may already know about this, but I am getting lockups when I use the shotgun (the one you get as a pickup, not with the THUGS cheat)

Other than that, excellent work. This is really feeling more and more like GTAIII every day.

spaceeinstein explained it to me and I believe it's because the Shotgun in GTA3 is the Stubby Shotgun in VC, but when you enter the Police car in VC you get a Chrome Shotgun instead.

Their line's have been switched in the v2 weapon.dat in an attempt to reproduce this but it doesn't seem to have done the trick, hence the crash. confused.gif

If this is going to be a toughie to crack I suggest the original lines are put back, at least for the time being until this is worked out.

I don't know if this is a lot of help...
I'm using spaceeinsteins's weapon.dat V2 but I switched the shotguns back (put 279 back to 277, and vice versa), and when I do the THUGSTOOLS cheat, and goto use the shotgun, Tommy's hands are in the shotgun holding shape, but the shotgun model itself doesn't show.

Edit: Ooops. That's not what I mean't to say. What I mean't was, the model doesn't show using normal V2, but a model does show when you switch the lines back (just the 277,278,278 flag - model ID?).

Edit 2: Those new models and textures in that zip, what do they do? do they make the shotguns look like GTAIII's weapons? If the answer is yes, I have a possible solution.

Just a temporary hosting until einstein gets his sorted, link.

It's good, I like it. The main bug we've got with the release weapon.dat is that the AK can still be used in drive-by's, no longer a problem with this file.

einstein, I can add this to official downloads on my host unless you'd prefer to host this yourself. smile.gif

They're still there, it's just a little tougher to get them. You'll either have to modify the scm, or use on of the cheats to get those two weapons.

i'm glad they still exist, its all that matters. the thought of chainsaws n miniguns being gone is simply unbareable. whats the weapon cheat anyways?

LC's vision for starters is a port of GTA3. GTA3 had no minigun or chainsaw. VC's cheats are beyond the scope of this forum. Thank you for helping us keep our workspace clean wink.gif
