I see that my behaviour was not erm...nice confused.gif .
Does anyone knows how large the radio files are(in total) cause im gonna buy gta III in a week and maybe im gonna host the radio-files on my server.
And if anyone needs a mirror for small GTA:LC files(>10mb) then contact me at [email protected]

Offering the GTAIII radio stations on your server may get you in legal and financial problems (copyright).

I have been holding this file for two months now...
GTA LC Audio v4

If it doesn't work go here.

If it still doesn't, I'm going to have to kill myself. This link will last for one week, so give me some MIRRORS.

Has v2, v3, and addon2

EDIT: If no one makes mirrors, this download will be gone faster than you think. Does the link even work?

EDIT2: Someone please update the official updates.

Hammer83 made a file which blanked out a few Vice City specific wave files. I changed it a little bit so it blanks out ALL of the Vice City sounds. This update will save you more than 150 MB. And the download is super small (about 3k).

Just download the file, extract it to the audio folder and run the batch file. It will replace all of the extra waves and mp3s with small dummy files. This is tested and you can run your game fine (even with the no-cd patch) after you run it.

Here is the file. Enjoy, and thanks to Hammer for the idea.

@spaceeinstein, sorry for the delay, but your audio update is on the official page now. I got rid of the older two, as this file combines those into one file.

2 easy questions for u modders.
How do I mod so that every time I enter vehicle, radio starts to play from
mp3 folder, that I donīt have to change it with mousewheel?
Iīve had enough of the radio stations.
Playing Vice City I launched gta-vc.exe from mp3 randomizer, How can
I use mp3 randomizer with Gta Lc? I have installed all updates.
Thanx.

How to make it always be one station is a VC question, not an LC one. The answer is that there is no way. However, pressing F9 will put it directly on MP3.

Not familiar with the randomizer, but when playing LC, the lc.exe has to launch VC. Nothing else can.

Everytime I try to run the extractor for Nullpointers gta3 sound tool, I get an error with the kernel32.dll.

Are there any other, easier programs to import/export the wav files for the raw?

I don't know what am I doing wrong...

If you cannot explain it, could you upload a sfx.raw and sfx.inf?

The SFX.raw file is over 300 MB if I remember correctly. Even on broadband, that's a big download.

Installing my audio file is optional, if it's alright to have a MP5 sound to a AK47.

I know it's optional, but I want it. confused.gif

I need the authentic-ness. colgate.gif

Hmm...300 is a HUGE amount to upload. If you upload, I will download it (I have dsl so that is no problem)

What to do, what to do... confused.gif

Actually, my SFX files are only 85 MB. It's the original that's 325 MB. My server can host downloads of minor files (like code updates) but large files would consume too much bandwidth, which may cause me to lose my server.

Also, the SFX conversion is not complete, so uploading it now would not be a very good idea. Maybe once it's finished.

Guess I am stuck until someone can host that 325 MB file sad.gif

Thanks for tryin' to help.

Except for a few things (yakuza and hoods not finished yet), this mod is superb and I thank you for making it. smile.gif

As it is now, the SFX upgrade is a minor change. The sirens and guns sound different. But they never really sounded wrong to me before. Even in it's non-authentic-ness, you're not missing much. blink.gif

Great mod only one problem i've found with the latest codeupdate.rar file i downloaded.I installed the new files but now i've got no sound.Reason is missing sound files-the following are listed in the gta-lc.ini but not included in the update:
448=AUDIOLC\EL_PH1.MP3
449=AUDIOLC\HD_PH1.MP3
450=AUDIOLC\HD_PH2.MP3
451=AUDIOLC\HD_PH3.MP3
For those who have the same problem these files are in the audio folder on the original GTA3 play disc.It would be helpful in future if new audio files are required to run updates are listed in any read me files as to location etc if not included in the update.

They're not included in the code files because it would make each download too big (and run up my bandwidth too much). It's better if most people copy the files from their GTA3 CD.

But if they don't have the GTA3 CD available, then the currently required files can be downloaded here.

I don't know where this should go but

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has some audio for the police radio, GTA3 hydrant, GTA3 lamposts, the particle.txd that I released yesterday, fixes the lost colors in the weapons, ride on the sand like in GTA3, and a weapon.dat to make sure that the AK47 does not crash.

Sadly, it doesn't fix the lockup with the AK47 rampage. Good work though.

For me it fixed the Ak-47 and I mananged to beat the AK-47 Rampage once but I tried it a second time and the game blew up on the first round I fired.

It might be useful to shut up Tommy Vercetti's voiceovers (Donīt think I found any posts about it): Like when you steal a car and Vercetti says something, or when you take the money of a dead one and he says 'You won't need that anymore'.

If somebody got before me, sorry about that.

QUOTE (spaceeinstein)
Tommy's voice goes from sfx8694 to sfx9808. A few are just blanks. But I'm not doing all that.

Scuse me? (Save target as)
It slices 48MB of the SFX file.

Can anyone tell me how to get Nullpointer's sound tools to work? It can extract the GTA3 SFX fine. It refuses to work with the VC one.
