If you can get it all to run, you could try the Checkpoint Darling mission.

ive made a bit of it already, and im trying to get it ingame, ive been following a guide in maps, and my dff has under 1000 faces, and when i go to col maker, and import the text (.X) thing, i get this:

Just something with the forums, did you try linking to a php that made a image? ive tried that, its one that shows the status of a mta server =/ , maybe theres a way they can be enabled.

I still can't get ODIE's berlin demo to work. I swear I followed it word for word, and it freezes about 1/5 to 1/3 through the load screen. here's what I did:

I replaced the line of the original object in the ide, and added the line for the LOD. I opened the col file and removed the col for the original land piece, and added all of odies stuff, PLUS I made the lod col thing. then I removed teh original dff from the img file, and added all the dff's and txd's from odies folder. rebuilt... then added all the ipl and ide lines IN THE RIGHT PLACES... I think. I know I put them in the right sections, but do they have to be put in the correct numerical order? anyways, I have the new dff piece, and the LOD working but whenever I add the other stuff it freezes at 1/5 or 1/3, I dunno what to do.... Please help me.

You can run it with mods already installed, but it's better to have a clean install specifically for it - that way if the game crashes, you'll have a better idea of what might have caused it xmas.gif

People frequently jump to the warez conclusion. I try not to unless I'm certain, but...

I say leave the GTA3 stuff in. It isn't hurting anything. As Goldmember says in the deleted scenes: "In moderation, anything is good."

There was a member who contacted Coca-Cola about the use of their trademark on his mod. They declined his offer. While that's not a concrete stance against the GTAs, it's providence.

Um, I didn't really understand what was meant by the fish-tail manouvre, but seeing as the objective is to make them stop it's not too hard. I like how you made the lights come on automatically when you go fast enough. Maybe the next thing could be to expand on this by having an empty parking lot somewhere and actually have to practice the manouvres, with cones and such to drive around? xmas.gif

tounge.gif une queue de poisson... this cop school thing is a really great idea, that must be more developed, but what Barton have done yet is just incredible... is it possible to try it without installing the whole Myriad things ( i mean just the land04 and the main.scm, not all properties cos it's so hard to install, too confusing for me.. dontgetit.gif )
are u french Barton ? i was wonderin' this cos a fish tail is a french expression... but maybe it's another country's expression too after all.... dozingoff.gif

have you added the new cull file that came with it to your data? also i have not created LOD objects for odies col models should i?

somebody told me something was wrong with the one of the file names, and to run it through the moomapper verifier. Unfortunately it stopped workign for me when I tried. I guess I'll have to roll back on driver versions then. Stupid ati.

Fish tail is an expression used to describe when the back end of a car doesn't remain true to the rest of the car. During high torque accelerations or decelerations, the back end of a car can swing to one side or another. This is known as fish-tailing. What Barton was referring to is a commonly used pursuit technique where one car uses its front end to shove the back end of a nearby car sideways suddenly. It makes the bumped car incredibly out of control while the offending car remains quite stable. The pit maneuver.

the two central road segments should be able to lift up, and when they lower, they should land back in place on top of that large pillar in the middle.
