Member group images are one thing, avatars are another. Invision sets the default size to 64*64, so it's essentially a good idea to keep the maximum size that way.

Just look at it like this: 64*64 can fit on more boards than larger sizes. tounge.gif

You seem to have a signature again. Did you resolve this issue with the staff member or just made a new one?

    He didn't flame you. bored.gif

The answer to your question is no. You can only have an image 468 x 70 and the border around it can be make it up to 500 x 100.

As there are so many skins now which all create the .usertable class in slightly different ways, will the staff choose one skin in which signature area is measured? The problem being that a user may well have a signature which is withing the limits using that skin, but a skin which a member of staff is using may make it appear too big. smile.gif

I know the bottom one is missed some stuff off the bottom row, but it's still the same overall height and width for the signature area. But in spite of this, the Afterfuture version is nearly 40 pixels wider - which actually puts it over the guidelines by a little. Remarkably, the AF version is actually 4 pixels smaller in height. blink.gif

How would the staff resolve this fairly?

Okie - I am a bit confuzzled here, I would appreciate it if someone can clear this up (preferably an admin/mod).

Judging by the picture the maximum amount of sig space is 500 x 100:

BUT in the offical imaging sig rules it states:

  • So what is the official size limit? If someone can provide more of a visual for me that would be good. Sorry for not understanding, just a bit confuzzled.

Yeah you got 500x100 althogher, but the main image must be 468 x 70 pixels, no bigger...You can have other images and text in there though.

    468 x 70 is the offical size.

500 x 100 is if you want to put a mini banner in, or text etc.

Question: Why can 3vil have a sig that is 500x100, but I can't have one that is 185x85.

    500 x 100 = 50000 Pixels.
    468 x 70 = 32760 Pixels.
    185 x 85 = 15725 Pixels.

So, I'm not really breaking the rules.

    Sig in Question.

Sig rules said nothing about pixel count. It spoke of dimension. Most vertical dimension limitations make threads more readable on the whole.

Over being the operative term. The rule is X. If that's not to be enforced, then what is? 1 pixel? 5? 100? the whole page? That's why rules exist...

Ok, well I think if Tank and 3vil can have over-sized sigs, then I can too. Because 3vil's is 100 tall, and Tank's is 80 tall, and mine is only 85.

Not quite. It's certainly the reason that Ill and I drafted them for, but thier current purpose is totally unknown because they simply aren't enforced with any consistancy. I'm also bemused why the note from me is still present after I was fired from the staff. blink.gif

@Cerbera: That's your own begrudged opinion. That doesn't change the fact stated in my post.

Trows is in an official gang (Or.. bah, dunno what's happening with LM). Anyway, official gangs are allowed to wear an additional 20px (height).

The 90/70px does not include the padding created by the tables, which many members use in their signatures.

The extra height doesn't really matter for LFM, as the extra little part on top is a whole new image, if that is what you are referring to.

You would only really get a bad karma star if you persisted in wearing a sig that was too big!
